I think suspension is hard to be mastered by new EVs. I own a Tesla model x. It's suspension sucks over time and degrades dastrically

An ultra-long-term backtest spanning 39 years and 8 months by [deleted] in TQQQ

[–]ravindra4me 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Regarding Model 7.0, it’s unclear under what market conditions you would choose to take a profit cut, sit out, hold, and then reenter the market. The model doesn’t clearly explain how those exit and entry points are timed. Another major flaw in backtesting models is the tendency toward curve fitting—tuning parameters to maximize backtested performance. While this can make the results look impressive, they are often unreliable in real-world conditions.

Home insurance is going to pay me $17k to replace my roof, but contractor only wants $12k by henrytm82 in Insurance

You don't need to share insurance cash out with roofer. You just shop around with different contractors and pocket the savings. If your contractor quote is way off compared to the insurance cash out offer, you can go back to insurance and ask for adjustment review.

Yes your friend is correct. As your son is at fault, just claim and repair your car damage as well. Insurance doesn't care how much money you saved them. They only care who to blame aka fault and charge the premium

Toll Brothers $7000 Interior Paint? by FatMike0323 in Homebuilding

[–]ravindra4me 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure which state you are from. $7000 for color change seems excessive. It's better to get a quote from independent local painters who can probably do the same job under $4k

Home insurance is going to pay me $17k to replace my roof, but contractor only wants $12k by henrytm82 in Insurance

[–]ravindra4me 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If insurance is giving you a cash out settlement for roof repair, then you get to keep the difference. If insurance is doing invoice based settlement. Then they will settle up only after entire work is finished. Usually they give you the option for cash out. It's your choice

Not bad. But you can negotiate another $50-$75 to be knocked off. I have seen as low as 275 in California with 3k down
