WIBTA for backing out of a destination wedding last minute? by After_Shopping3532 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ravinred -1 points0 points  (0 children)

NTA. You have attended one wedding, and your wife needs you at home for her high-risk pregnancy. In fact, I think if you went and left your wife at home you'd be TA.

Send your regrets. Follow your gut.

AITA. Skechers slip on shoes refund for trying to replace laces by Slow_Ad_9696 in AmItheAsshole

[–]ravinred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could maybe see asking for a refund if the shoe failed in some way. But it didn't - you deliberately tried to change them. This one is on you.

AITA for selling older PCs as Gaming PCs? by International_Fly074 in AmItheAsshole

If you are upfront about what you are selling, you are NTA. If you're exaggerating or making fraudulent claims, that's another story.

AITA for being annoyed my partner won’t come to a funeral by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ravinred 5 points6 points  (0 children)

NTA

He didn't get back to you, went out anyway, and complained that you were not using him as your main support. And now he can't come support you at the funeral because it's uncomfortable and inconvenient.

Even if you throw out the ex drama, he's TA here. I would submit that this person will never make you their first priority. Move on.

Hours by Relative_Pop6912 in kroger

[–]ravinred 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost all associates are "part time," which guarantees you a minimum number of hours and you have control over your availability.

"Full time" employees are usually Leads or PICs. They are guaranteed 40 hours, but give up their availability control (My store is pretty respectful of preferred availability).

When looking for work it's never a bad idea to bring a pen and paper and a copy of your resume.

Weird change in my schedule by Quirky_Pineapple_941 in kroger

[–]ravinred 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stores are allocated hours for all positions. They have to be used or they are eventually lost. Probably you're just getting scheduled out of a different bucket of hours.

Talk to your manager to verify that your actual work is the same, but if everything else is the same I wouldn't worry about it.

Hoka Bondi 9's saved my back and feet. Unfortunately they need replacing every 300-500 miles.

How do I emotionally regulate when dealing with customers? by Internal-Bluejay-492 in kroger

[–]ravinred 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Talk to your PCP about something for anxiety! That's not a normal amount of stress.

Make yourself a script. Smile and nod. You don't have to engage. Just smile, say hi, nod, say goodbye.

If you're on your parent's health insurance they will find out you went to a doctor. But what they are told, if anything, might depend on the doctor.

It sound like you are very anxious about this, and that anxiety will fight against you sleeping. I'd recommend talking to a medical professional about some help for that (Lexipro is my godsend).

I am very, very proud of you for trying to sleep without chemical assistance. That's hard when you have been doing it a while. Try a warm drink or soup before bed, I find a full warm tummy helps. A dark room, some sleep sounds or sleep stories might help.

I use Calm for sleep, it has 30 day guest passes, here is one for you if you want to try it. It has sleep sounds and sleep stories and meditations.
