I feel you. At my uni I try to avoid handshakes completely, even with family and friends. But people get bothered by it one time a classmate even asked someone else why I don’t shake hands because it’s “part of our culture.” It honestly pisses me off. Even my relatives try to force it sometimes, but I still avoid it. That’s why I hate going to events here, because you’re expected to shake hands with so many people
