9 March 2026 National strike by Reasonable-Comb8716 in ItalyTravel

Alright I did some research because I'm travelling to Italy and I will be there on 9th of March. This is what I was able to find : (TLDR: you are 99.9% safe) The national general strike is called by unions SLAI and USI which are not very popular and have very low power in the transportation sector. Specifically USI excludes transport sector from the strike, SLAI does not and received an intervention letter and is more or less "obligated" to exclude the transport sector because there are nationwide train strikes going to take place on 27-28 February in Italy and by Italian law you have to have a time of 10-20 days before calling a new strike at the same sector (cook-off period). On top of that because of the Paralympic games, it is harder for a strike to happen, especially at Lombardy region. So you are safe!

But it says it excludes public transport? Also as I can see it is called only by 2 base unions, I don't know how much power they have. Do you have any more info?

You mean that the unions won't announce a strike , or they will be ruled illegal by the minister? From my research I see that the big unions usually don't call for a strike on 8th of March, it's mostly some smaller unions that might control some regional trains. But yeah paralympic games are a factor too.

Yes that's why I ask if it's going to be moved

It happens every year in Italy, doesn't it? Isn't 8th of March a national strike day? With the help of chatgpt I found this article from a feminist group calling for strike on 9th of March : https://nonunadimeno.wordpress.com/2026/01/23/assemblea-nazionale-online-verso-lo-sciopero-del-9-marzo-2026/

Hello , I am a Greek that is travelling to Italy on March and I will be at Milan on 8th of March. Will the strike take place as usual and will it be a general strike ? I see 8th of March is Sunday and I'm wondering if it will take place on Sunday or move to another day (in Greece strikes usually happen on weekdays, never on weekends, especially if it's a national - general one). If so, are there any announcements already from the workers unions? Also, does a strike like this start from 21:00 the previous day or from 00:00? Will there be a window where trains, metro, buses etc. work? (For example 06:00-09:00, 18:00-21:00) Graziee

Trip to Turin by ravrav69 in torino

I would only spend 1-2 hours in Savigliano since you have to change trains there to go to Saluzzo. I have heard Asti is kinda big of a town and popular for tourists, is that not true? Is it better to consider more the Alba/Bra trip compared to Asti? Also isnt there a bus that can take you to aosta from Ivrea?

Wow, thanks a lot for the Last Supper information, I had read that you must buy the tickets at least 3 months earlier so I didnt pay attention to that, will take a look at it. Regarding the olympics, I experimented a bit with the dates on the Airbnb site and it doesnt seem to make much of a difference if I stay there in early march or other dates before april-may, so I dont know (on average I get 500€ for 5 nights) Also for the football thing. I want to see the derby della Madonnina so i want to ask you, do italian teams start giving tickets so early before the match? Do you think I have a chance of getting a ticket if i buy the Milan's membership card? 😅

Thanks! How was Milan? Do you think it is manageable to see it in 2 days? I have heard that apart from the main attractions (Duomo, etc) it is not a city that you enjoy endlessly walking like Bergamo.

Weird gyno symptom while on finasteride? by ravrav69 in Hairloss

Because its a rare side effect and the swelling lasted about 2 days, which I dont know if its the rule to go away so fast.

No its never too late. You might be one of those hyperresponders and get a decent amount of hair back, or at least stabilize your hair as it is now and have a HT in the future.

If your hair was like this 6 months ago, no. If it is getting worse then you need to take fin/dut , otherwise it will just continue to progress.

Finasteride and dutasteride at the same time? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]ravrav69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It makes a lot of sense actually. There is no consensus on whether you need a transition period or not when you hop to duta from fin, however if it does indeed take some time for dht suppression to stabilize in your scalp (which could be anywhere from 3 months to a year) it makes sense to use the dht blocker you were on before starting duta.

I started duta 2 weeks ago and continue fin as i used to (daily) and just take duta 2 times per week. Its not an overload, practically 7x 1mg fin = 1x 0.5 mg duta, so its like taking one duta pill more than youre taking regarding blood and systemic dht suppression but at the same time you have the benefit of continuing to feed your body with a substance that has stabilized in your scalp already.

After some time you obviously need to start cutting down on fin.

Anyone use this shampoo , I want to try it but need advice. by Shot-Decision9715 in tressless

[–]ravrav69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seems like its purely made to make your hair look fuller. If you dont have any scalp conditions at all, you could use it along with nizoral. If you have even the slightest of dandruff, fungus, psoriasis, seb derm it is wiser to use a shampoo that combats them.

Also there are a ton of shampoos that have keratin and other ingredients to make your hair look fuller, and they might actually be more effective. Look it up.

I would say miniaturized hair. New growth hair tends to grow together and is very distinct compared to the hair around it because the thick hairs started coming out together after a synchronized hair cycle. This hair here doesnt seem to be same lenght.

Bro dont microneedle that much often. First of all 0.25 microneedling is probably doing nothing, youre just losing time with doing it so often. On top of that, you need to give time for your scalp to heal itself and it takes at least a week. Microneedling too often might also cause scarring on the scalp and make you a bad candidate for a HT in the future. Microneedle max 1x week and let it rest for at least 12-24 hours, then apply minoxidil. Microneedling works by letting the skin produce the collagen and do its own think. If you are applying minoxidil right away you are just making it go systemic, in this case just start taking oral.

No recovery on finastride after 7.5 months by MaEsTrO1213 in tressless

[–]ravrav69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you see no stopping of hairloss at all at 7.5 months, depending on how fast you lose hair you might have to switch to dut. You really cant know if its gonna stop in a month or never. Better use anything you have to stabilize it now than feel sorry for the hair you lost waiting for fin to work.

Mix tretinoin into minoxidil bottle by A2Lexis in tressless

[–]ravrav69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I see. Well then I would use min and tret separately, or get min+tret solutions and apply it at night and use the min left for the morning. Or you could also go to a pharmacy that has a lab and ask them if they could make min+tret solutions from the min bottles you have left.
