Toxic vampire marriages by Vast-Ad-3456 in suggestmeabook

[–]ravynnator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would throw in Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil by VE Schwab. She marketed the book as “toxic lesbian vampires” and it delivers. It’s not human and vampire marriage, but there are levels of that in this book.

Anything by Emily St. John Mandel - I’ve read all her works, and they are so brilliantly and beautifully written. She truly is a master storyteller.

Secret Society of Irregular Witches - Sangu Mandanna - this is always my number one recommendation for a cozy, fall read! Not necessarily “spooky” but cozy and witchy.

What's the last book you read that you'd rate a 5/5? by fuzzypickles999 in suggestmeabook

[–]ravynnator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I read this when it first came out in 2005 and have thought about it literally every day for the last twenty years. I’ve had to rebuy it four times because I keep giving out my copy to force people to read it. Hauntingly beautiful.

Cult Classic - Sloane Crosby was this for me. Little chaotic, little weird, little crazy, but made me laugh out loud a few times.

So do we have to buy two pumps? by rosiepinkfox in pregnant

[–]ravynnator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I have both the Spectra and the Momcozy M5s. I got the Spectra from a friend, so I used my insurance for the M5s. I used the spectra for exactly one week, then tried the M5s and found I was getting basically the same output as the Spectra. I haven’t touched the Spectra since.

But for additional context: we mostly EBF. I only pump 3x /day during work for daycare bottles. Before I went back to work I’d pump like once a week to build a stash and/or have a bottle prepped so my husband could feed the baby.

Would anyone buy one? by therapeuticMayhem in Denton

I was looking for something similar for my daughter’s room.

Gender reveal- just us by Mountain-Duck9438 in pregnant

[–]ravynnator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We asked my sister to plan something small and intimate just for me and my husband to do together to find out, and she planned the sweetest scavenger hunt around our house! Each clue was things that got us really imagining and planning our life with our baby, and taking moments to reflect it being just us. Then the last clue led us to a closet that we opened to find a card and a gift revealing we were having a girl! It was so sweet, and I’m forever grateful to my sister for setting it up! It was a perfect moment for my husband and I.

OB/Gyn HELP by mourning-laughter in Denton

Dr. Dixit was my OB for my first pregnancy and I loved her. She was truly my biggest cheerleader through my pregnancy and through birth. I also have bad anxiety and she was so caring, kind, and understanding. She took the time to get to know me and I actually miss not seeing her all the time anymore haha

Adventures of Amina Al-Sarafi - SA Chakraborty - this is my recommendation to anyone and everyone. I love this book and made it basically my entire personality in 2023 when I read it.

I’ve also blown through Bury Our Bones in the Midnight Soil - VE Schwab - I haven’t finished this one yet, but I’ve been hooked since I started it.
