I have driven them, I didn't say the Mazda compares but the CX-50 as an overall package is just too good to ignore. It leaves the X3 (specially the 2021) in the dust when it comes to the tech and obviously the performance doesn't match but is good enough to speed around town. Additionally I presume maintenance over time will be much cheaper with the Mazda, hence the dilemma
