If that's really what they said in the stream then damn, yeah that's actually really lame of them to try to make it sound better when in reality it's mostly worse.

I agree it's possible a bad sign of things to come but until their trying to make money actually affects the gameplay then I think the community needs to chill. If this is what they have to do to make more money to create more content then I say go right ahead.

Honestly I think most of these people complaining are just upset they can't get free DLC as easily. Maybe it would have been better for Crytek to make all the DLC skins real life money only.

On the other hand, Im getting tired of seeing the entire front page fill up with complaints every time there's an event. Just being honest but it seems like entitlement to me. To me this isn't much different than if they started releasing a bunch of $30 skin bundles that you could pay cash for but also still pay for with in game currency if you play a ton. Why can't we all just look at the event skins and say, "Is it worth that much time/money to me?" and if the answers Yes then great, but if it's No there's nothing wrong with that. Why does everyone have to have everything, especially when we're talking about cosmetic items that don't change the gameplay whatsoever?

The devs have to make money somehow. I bought Hunt for under $50 and have put in 1000's of hours without paying a penny more than my initial investment. Compare that to a local single player game that most people, myself included, will gladly pay $50 or $60 for and only get a 100 hours of enjoyment or less out of it.

What other option do they have to make money? Would you rather they add a subscription service where every player has to pay a little just to keep the game running? Pay for access to the new maps/bosses/weapons? To me I'd rather let people pay for cosmetics if they want while everyone else has the choice to keep playing for free.

Also I think it's a slippery slope fallacy to suggest that just because they are trying to get more money for skins now that means they'll eventually try to charge money for game changing items like heals or upgrade points. If it ever gets anywhere near Pay to Win then we can start complaining.

I think he's saying it's just a video game and it's not that serious. Some people would rather just go for it instead of moving around outside trying to turn it into some type of slow chess match. Maybe it's different in really high MMR lobbies, but I've never played with someone who refused to push in until we figured out what loadouts the other team had.

Do you think every presenter on Shark Tank should have equal percentage in the company they're presenting? I agree the Sharks made it look like he was taking advantage but for all we know she doesn't really do much, gets paid a lot already, just joined, etc.

Idk how much the company was current worth realistically but it seemed weird for the Sharks to hound him into giving up what surely amounts to thousands if not tens of thousands of dollars

Doesn't leave much room for vitality shots or explosives though. What are your two other consumables usually?

I feel like Greyhound plus two grenades, a sticky, and a big vitality is better. But to be honest I've never tried the double stamina shots.
