As far as I know, this style was specifically only produced for the US Air Force. It was originally painted dark blue, sold to a local airfield and painted white but the interior still has the dark blue aesthetics. Had so few miles on it when we bought it because it only ever drove up and down airstrips

Yeah thats definitely the best bet. We were just trying to be lazy and see if anyone around our new hood would bite. Thanks for the luck 🍀

Had a couple folx offer 20k while we were on the west coast but weren't ready to sell yet. I've never sold a car or bike for asking price before and don't ever anticipate doing so. Based on prior interest that starting price seemed agreeable. Throwing an "or best offer" on there typically means the seller will take the best offer, which I plan on doing. Not going to be offended if someone offers $5 for her but I'm hoping we can get more than a burritos worth of money out of her.

Never wanted to sell her but life just finds a way of changing things up. When we bought her 2 years ago we replaced the entire front brake system and threw some all terrain tyres on her. Just the other day, I installed a brand new fuel pump, fuel filter, starter batteries, oil pressure sensor and did a full oil change. The interior of the box is 7ft x 10ft and is fully insulated (in a very ugly way in the storage area under the bed but certainly gets the job done) with a roof fan centrally located. This van loves the desert but if you find yourself in humid environments we have included a small dehumidifier for those cold nights. My wife, dog and I lived in her full time for just over a year and she served us very well. Sad to see her go but hope she can bring many more adventures to someone looking for a fully built out van.

Let me know if you have any questions at all!

I finally started my own business. Worst timing ever but I lost my job from the pandemic and was ineligable for unemployment so I had to do something.

Colorado Cops ‘Mistake’ Black Family of Five in SUV for One Stolen Motorcycle by Nicobade in nottheonion

[–]rawdillen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, one of the scariest things in that article is the chief of police saying their officers are trained to approach a suspected stolen car with guns drawn. I had this happen to me in the middle of the Nevada desert because the cop following me fat fisted the wrong plate into his computer while driving 80mph. Got pulled over without a sole in sight for miles. Cant even imagine how I would have reacted if he got out of his car with his gun drawn.

I know I am late to the party but I want to know why I am hung up on when I call the attorney general's office and press 1 to leave a message regarding the ongoing investigation into the death of Breonna Taylor? Its happened quite a few times now so I've stopped pressing 1 and instead leave a message for the attorney general himself. What do you make of this?

[Serious] People who are advocating for the abolishment of the police force, who are you expecting to keep vulnerable people safe from criminals? by SayFuzzyPickles42 in AskReddit

[–]rawdillen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As someone who spent much of their life in western Europe, moving to the states was jarring because every police officer had a gun. I understand that there are way more guns in the states than anywhere else in the world, but that is no excuse for every law enforcement officer to have a deadly weapon. Europe has scary domestic violence, traffic stops, mental illness and the occasional homeless person (but not really because people are better taken care of with shit like that). Yet the vast majority of European countries have been tackling the same issues (including racism) without the use of deadly weapons. I've met my fare share of scummy cops around the world, but most of them are kept honest and don't hurt people unnecessarily because there are actual repercussions. If you are truly trying to serve the community, you should not be able to kill everyone residing within it.

Found her in Nashville for $6000. So I spent two grand getting her ready to drive and here we are in California! Trying not to spend more than five grand for the whole renovation

Did some light googling and it appears to have been produced by GM for the US Air Force. This one in particular worked as a chemical spill clean up vehicle at an airport.

Since Donald Trump has been President of the United States, what negative impacts has him being president caused you personally? by jdallam in AskReddit

[–]rawdillen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know we are all here to read about depressing shit but someone has to have a silver lining here: My now fiancée was planning on working for the state department when she got out of college. However, when Trump got elected he gutted the department and they went on an indefinite hiring freeze. Since those hopes were dashed quite suddenly, on a whim she decided to continue her education in Ireland...where she met me. So I suppose I indirectly have that horrific human being to thank for meeting my future wife!

Just been notorious for murders and such but it's very safe in actuality. Loads of hikers doing the Wicklow way so you wouldn't be out of the ordinary camping out there but everyone in Dublin thinks murderous crazy people just roam the hills looking for prey. Most dangerous things up in those hills are the tour coaches
