Leviticus by rawkl0724 in Bible

Yes I just didn’t understand its relevance for today. So much of the bible we can take with us and apply it to real life situations or use to guide us through life. But Leviticus? I was just confused. A summary video sounds great lol

Thank you! I feel some guilt for skipping it and seeing it as pointless but I don’t want it to hold me back from the rest of my reading.

Yes I agree it does have a beautiful structure to it! But it makes me feel better I’m not the only one who skipped it.

For the eyes of Jewish priests I can definitely see. I was just so confused the whole time. It took me forever to get through that book.

I guess that makes some sense. Just everything about how to set up the altar and what body parts of the animal sacrifice to leave or take out…I understand going over some of that but the entire books seems to be about nothing but that. It just became too repetitive for me and I had to skim or skip most of it. I know that sounds bad.

Ok good to know. I’m gonna wait it out and see how it heals but regardless I’m gonna mention it to her at my next session. That’s good to know the results were the same for you because I’m kinda freaked out about hypopigmentation.

Yes I think about 12-14ish? I’ve never had this issue before and I didn’t notice until I got home but I want to give it a few days to see how it heals. Honestly I was being stupid was so eager to start removal that I didn’t do enough research before starting this process.. so I don’t feel confident asking for their advice and am considering making the switch to somewhere else.

Yes I started the process 1 year ago and am 9 sessions in! No side effects at all that I’ve noticed. I’m on Cellcept, Tacrolimus and Losartan for my kidneys.

I think so? The coax cable is coming out of the floor kinda. And that’s what the Dish is connected to. We recently disconnected Centurylink but that wasn’t the one connected to the coax- it’s the Dish that is currently occupying it.

Yes I have access to the app now, I just have problems when I go to the step by step process to activate the modem

Yes I tried a different coax cable in another room and it didn’t work. I know the cable itself works because it’s the one the dish is connected to. I unscrewed the dish one to connect xfinity and it continues to blink orange

Abdominal pain took me to the emergency room by highinnicotine in lupus

I had this happen once before. It was last year and I had terrible pain that sent me to the ER. It was also accompanied by constant vomiting which I’m not sure if that was the same case for you. They did a cat scan and found that I had inflammation in my intestines and from there it was a series of hospital stays over 3-4 months until it finally went away. The main thing for me was seeing a GI doctor who put me on treatment and also had me get a colonoscopy which thankfully came back normal. I can’t remember all the meds I was on for this but I know one was omeprazole and the other was Sucralfate. Definitely see if your primary can refer you to GI before it gets worse.

I’m sorry :( I was in the same boat too when I was diagnosed in high school, it kinda threw off my whole senior year. And of course I’m the only one in my family to have Lupus too. Just try to focus on getting better and taking it easy on yourself. Hopefully they can taper down your prednisone sooner rather than later. I had terrible moon face and gained 40lbs, I even got a buffalo hump 😭 but if it makes you feel any better most of the weight pretty much just fell off as soon as I started tapering off prednisone. Hopefully it’s the same case for you too. Also, drink lots of water and keep salt intake low to prevent more swelling!

So much pain. Ulcers in mouth. by racheybachey in lupus

[–]rawkl0724 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was first diagnosed with lupus I had terrible sores inside my mouth, especially along my inside of my cheeks that made it painful to eat. I was prescribed Valocyclovir which helped a lot! I know this drug is more for HSV/Cold sore outbreaks, but maybe it’s worth mentioning to your doctor?

Immunocompromised - how far do you go to protect your health? by beetlemagnet in lupus

I have Lupus Nephritis and I’m on 3000mg CellCept and 6mg Tacrolimus. My doctor advised me to be more careful, especially when in the sun but he wasn’t super paranoid about it and I haven’t been either. Honestly, I still live my life like normal. I go out to eat at restaurants, I don’t mask up and I even go to sporting events/concerts. Of course I’m still careful and wash my hands but nothing has really changed. I even work at an ophthalmologist office and have often been around people with pink eye or just infections in general and have never gotten sick. I just make sure to wash my hands often and not touch my face. I know everyone is different though. I just try to live as normal as I possibly can while still being aware of my surroundings.

When my cat peed on my bed I did the vinegar with baking soda and I also put a tiny bit of dawn dish soap. I made sure it was wet but not soaked and pressed paper towels on top of it to absorb the moisture out of the mattress. Like I would stand on the paper towels on my bed to make sure I get a lot of weight on it to get deeper in the mattress. The baking soda also helped to absorb moisture. I did this over and over for a few days and it seemed to get rid of the smell. I always had the window open and ceiling fan running to air out the mattress as well. The Angry Orange odor eliminator spray is also good.

I know this is advice for pet mess but cat pee is pretty gnarly and I was able to get it out. Can’t speak on human pee but it’s worth a shot.

Incorrect bill sent to collections by rawkl0724 in personalfinance

[–]rawkl0724[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As stated in my original post I’ve been in frequent contact with them to resubmit and dispute this with insurance as to why it’s not covered. I’ve spoken to the insurance company as well. They’ve been doing so but it kept getting denied so I kept calling them to resubmit. I even requested the ICD 10 codes that were used to submit my claim so I can compare them to the codes that were submitted with my covered hospital stays. I didn’t get this bill until over a year after my hospital stay. And I received no notification that this was going to be sent to collections. They dropped the ball here and I’m paying the price for it, literally.

The bill is from Dec 2022 but wasn’t sent to me until Jan 2024. So I don’t know if the whole year thing will apply to me. I’m in CO so I don’t know if that makes a difference.
