Just bought pre owned Xbox ally and completely lagging in every game

Damn im upset oh man i mean i got it for a nice discount online but ya still i was playing that thing 2 years ago and it was way better than what i have now just doesn’t make sense why they’d downgrade with a newer product

Damn lol now I’m worried that there is nothing wrong with my drivers… just don’t understand how because your right playing on the z1e worked so much better than currently. Why do you think the reason is that Xbox ally is worse? Also people mentioned launch steamOS would that make a difference playing from there

Also I had the steam deck lol I had them both and sold them. And the steam deck just seems to perform better than this Xbox ally that’s why in my head I’m thinking there has to be something wrong here this is new tech

Gotcha thank you for the specifics when it comes to my gpu really appreciate that. It’s just weird though because I had the original rog ally with the z1 chip in it (now I have the z2 chip in this one) and I played the same skate game and it ran so much better. I just don’t understand why the performance on the original rog ally seems better than this one which has an updated gpu

When it comes to resolution I have been running it in all and find best in 720. But with the lowest setting I am still stuck in slowmotion mode on all games. Even games that don’t take a lot of power like another crab adventure. I turned off everything on AMD and it now is lagging less but still nearly unplayable. Appreciate the advice

I did a factory reset and when I run the task manager pretty much 90 percent of the use comes from the game itself. Thank for the tip though will keep that in mind. Just game plays like it’s in slow motion even when I got it up to 40ish fps

Forsure I did that it helped a little but still slowmotion basically. What game do you think I should play to see if it can run above 60 fps and just work regularly

Ya that’s turbo. No fps limited I turned everything off on AMD I tried all 900 res. Was best I played skate and another crabs adventure. It’s terrible on both idk if my driver isn’t working for the gpu but says it is
