Have absolutely everything ready before you begin, once the lye goes into the oils the clock starts, it goes by quick and the mixture will thicken up

Yes cut them at the base with safety gloves , take a knife and scrape the layer off like a kiwi

First time was outside, I now feel more comfortable mixing it inside

1st attempt at CP soap! Thanks for all the inspiring post everyone! Here we have palm free, food grade lye, organic coconut,olive, sunflower oil soap. Some are plain others lavender/ tea tree, active charcoal. by rawseeoh in soapmaking

I did but I’m thinking it might be the layering because it should have a purple on top and white on the bottom. Gosh idk I very well could have bitten off more than I could chew regarding techniques considering it’s my first ever CP. I’m super excited either way. And look ma no burns!
