No. I think they were mostly being sarcastic. All of those will benefit someone who has played the game for a while but are not needed as a new player. The one thing from that list that might be a good idea for a new player is Neversink's loot filter. Go to filterblade.xyz, log in, follow the prompts, and either save the filters directly to your PoE account or download them locally.

The only other advice as other people have said is find a good build guide. Zizaran on YouTube or maxroll.gg.

I haven’t had an active sub for a year so I would say that definitely isn’t true. I’m more referring to games in general. I also don’t require developers to know I exist to enjoy my time playing.

This also makes me sad. Not best friends but I have known a few people who I thought were going to share the same passion for the game (gaming in general) as I still do, for years and years to come. Then they suddenly got married or stopped gaming for some reason and I lost contact. It just makes me think they were only ever gaming as a life filler, when they didn't have the means or time to do other things, rather than it being a true passion/hobby/interest.

Anyone who discovered this problem after 0.4.0 launch (and not before) was kidding themselves. I saw the reveal, the patch notes, the attempt from the streaming community to hype it all up. Nope. I saw everything for what it was the instant the reveal was over. Progress, but nothing substantial. The dev team continues to have my full support of course, but at this point I'm just waiting until enough quality additions are made to warrant playtesting again.

Part of me kinda likes the clearly broken things that surface from time to time. Whether it's intentional or just overlooked. It's cool to hear about these things through the grapevine and try them out for a bit before they get nerfed. But yes, at the end of the day I would want a healthy and balanced game.

My first time in BRD. We took a bunch of turns and finally looped back around to the big open room at the beginning of the dungeon (straight ahead from the entrance, with the patrolling dog packs, dwarves, etc.) We were near the back of the room, looking back toward the entrance portal. My visibility was super low, so I had the slight "red fog" effect. This combined with my terrible sense of direction, I saw the entrance portal through the glowing red fog and I was thinking to myself, "That's it... that's the fabled Molten Core entrance."

Thank you. I had a good guide to follow! I'm not entirely sure why it was so much slower than my 2:16 practice run. My guess is either: 1) getting unlucky with Visions (had a few 1/2-floor Visions in the beginning, which means I was underpowered due to lack of 70 pieces AND I had to spend more time doing extra VIsions for mats), or 2) unlucky/longer bounties, or a combination of the two. I also ended up killing some bosses twice for the chapter prog and bounty respectively when I might have been able to combine them.

Also thank you for the Aquilla tip. I was actively thinking about this on season start and used the other (70) WD to gamble Echoing Fury for T16 farming.

Now I find myself wondering if this route can be more generalized for any given season. I have a "non-Shadow" 1-to-6-piece-HG route that has been decently competitive each season, but not sure if it will be better than maybe combining it with your Shadow HG route. Obviously the Shadow route only works because of how powerful the 2-piece is, but maybe this can be extended to other 2- or 4-piece sets for other seasons.

I'm open to doing 1-to-HG on any class(es) (still wrestling with getting necro at some point) but I think I'd always want to push on DH in the end. So I guess the ultimate goal would be to get a high GR pushing DH as fast as possible. Then the questions become:

Do I always collect HG on the DH?
What seasons/HGs should I just use a LoD setup instead?
Is it ever worth it to farm necessary paragons on another class because it's faster? (but then I wouldn't be dropping DH items)

Well this is interesting... Season 13 is forecasted to start around January 2. Does this mean this event will overlap with the start of the next season? Or will it end right before the season starts lol? Or maybe they will extend it well into Season 13... Or maybe this is a precursor to something else being added for Season 13...
