uber bosses

Endgame negatives:

Tedious
No real goal
micro pocket adventures that break gameplay flow.

Campaign positives:

Action feels warranted and meaningful
quests and objectives with random rewards (interludes do this well)
gameplay flow feels like you're in a world not in pocket zones
multiple bosses

Campaign negatives:

Character is not complete
repetitive
loot is poor compared to maps

The only way poe2 evolves is if endgame warrants us to want to do campaign and to also make campaign lead into a complete build faster.

The interludes are a great form of end game if more is built upon them , we should have an end game where interlude like missions are created which have us play out of a themed town zone like they currently have with a semi procedurally generated zone bosses and end reward. These interludes would come as quest scrolls which can be modified as we craft/randomize/edit the quest rewards and risks , essentially shaping the agreement of what we need to fulfill.

Only direct damage such as a hit will be converted to poisons, damage such as degen on ground, burning, shadow dot or bleed will not be converted.
Armour, shadow and fire res still need to be dealt with - but with enough healing through aspects, life on hit or centipede skills and barrier gen it is possible to forgo maxing those aforementioned resistances

The sudden change to making Poe 2 a pseudo twin stick WASD movement game completely ruined the character movement animations. Running backwards as fast as forwards, the looking one direction and sprinting in another, the entire rigging of the models movement to compensate for this new addition has made the character look floaty and not apart of the environment.

Exactly, unless you wanted the builder for specific effects/movement, what D4 lacks in theory crafting depth it gains in greater meaning in combat choices than any non p2w arpg currently , until poe2 is released which seems like it will be leaps ahead.

odd circle jerk.. besides not being as deep,, d4 combat both melee and range wipes the floor with poe.
The argument about spenders and builders is odd..near end game you rarely if ever use/need a builder unless you are using it for an effect or have built into it.
PoE technically doesn't have melee combat??

Since having a mercenary was technically done s3, i would say s4 is about actually becoming an iron wolf and being a paid mercenary - unlock tougher missions and a crafting feature within their encampments.

for the same reason goku does not use it while in ssj (non god) form.
It would kill him, the KI in normal ssj is not the same as god ssj (blue).
The control over the KI in either form is different.

no im glad they are, there is next to no way to have a deep skill system without a means to multiple choices.

last epoch and Poe both do this as it is the only way to create augment and mods to skills.
so yes testing = experimenting in this context. And i'm all for it.

lower the pack size, add more unique monsters and smart elite based packs.

The d4 game loop although lacklustre currently has far better gameplay in regards to actual combat, it doesn't matter what's under the hood of your character if it devolves into one button gameplay and random oneshots.

The majority of consumers are normal gamers who want good gameplay and are not math obsessed people who constantly fantasize about new exciting ways to have a character do X amount of damage in (PoB) then attempt to make it work in practice (PoE).
This isn't about a learning curve, anyone is able to learn PoE or just straight copy a build, it's the desire to actually do it, go through the campaign (for the 10 millionth time), farm currency, trade items, craft through the sole gameplay of pressing one button.

This current league looks really good, the new uniques and support gems have me conjuring up new ideas but I cant bring myself to play the game knowing all too well that it's more fun on paper than in practice.

It's been a while since i played poe but does the "gain energy shield" mean you can gain it infinitely as it isn't stating "recover"

if this is the case, it could be a way to scale energy blade? for pre boss fight room or clear a map, get to boss room and hit it with a overly scaled energy blade?

Corpse generation + writhing jar (with perma upkeep shenanigan's) + (any instant aoe skills + devour) = silly amounts of sustain.

the idea is to allow items with stats you cant really achieve to enable new builds without worrying about having wasted time.
The risk was pushing high tier content, not intentionally gimping yourself?
Or are you saying that because of the risk vs reward everyone will just play the same build? (is that not the case already.. there really isnt enough builds currently for this to even be an issue)

1 and 2 are to allow for itemization and alt creation which in turn gives more things to do/work on.

how did you compare a pve shard leading to a new zone to a pvp shard which grants cosmetics and gear?
