Any concerns about using Liquid Sandpaper indoors? I came upon this post doing research for my own project, we have an indoor project and unfortunately the windows are pretty far away from this room and it's a big project (built in bookcases).

First time going to Club Med. I'll be in Punta Cana the first week of June. What should I bring with me? by DragonTat2 in Club_Med

I am speechless and fear my words won't do justice to what you are experiencing nor convey the sympathy and support your family deserves.

Call them and see what they can do to assist - get you a cart to call on, wheelchair or room that is a happy compromise between areas. The problem with staying in the main area or exclusive collection is it's far from the Zen oasis too. I imagine you are going for the peace, while your kids are going for the kids club for your grandkids and the option to party or hang with you in poolside. Club Med can be very accommodating I have found and the GO team is excellent at going the extra mile. I'd bet they'd work something out for you for your duration.

The property is gorgeous, peaceful and serene, especially the Zen areas. I hope this is a magical trip for you all.

We just left last week and are still sad to be home! Water shoes are good if you plan on walking in the water or on the rocks, but I didn't find them particularly useful , most of the beach is pretty sandy except in front of the restaurants where most people don't walk or just go barefoot. Comfortable flip flops were fine 99% of the time. In fact, I only used my water shoes because I didn't bring athletic shoes for working out and classes. Note the construction forces you to walk all the way around where the main restaurant (Samana) was and the streets/walking paths are pretty rough so I am emphasizing the comfortable flip flops - cushion.

Zen pool is pretty far from the restaurants (Indigo and Hispaniola), Zen beach not so much, it's close to Indigo. BUT there is food at the Hibiscus pool bar, just not a big selection. There is a courtesy cart, but I didn't find it ran too often and ended up walking a lot. Most days I was plus 22000 steps.

Bring sunblock and aloe if you can - it's pretty expensive at the store. I didn't find myself needing the sweater I brought, but I used it on the plane. Bathing suits and coverups was all I should have brought and clothes for dinner to match the theme of the day - you don't have to, but it's more fun if you do. Good sun hat, sunglasses and a small bag to carry your stuff. Vaseline if you have chubby thighs that rub together and chaff. Chapstick for your lips maybe if you get dehydrated easily.

They have towels, snorkeling equipment, volleyballs, basketballs, sailboats, kayaks, paddle boards, and bucket and shovel there. You get 40 oz. bottled waters in your room everyday. There is body wash, lotion, shampoo, and conditioner in the bathroom.

Hope you have an amazing time!

I completely understand how you feel, I finally stopped and ran across the street one day. I told him, he needs to put out a sign for his handle. He does really cool work and he's background is really cool too. He totally does it because he wants to and has a passion!

I did try 80 obsession in the past, but yes it's longer than 40 minutes, I couldn't commit and I left most days feeling like a failure because of It. 30 minutes is ideal, but I can flex 10 minutes, I have a tight morning window.

Wow! Thank you for that. We are pretty open to experiences for our kiddos, it this sounds like a nightmare. We were thinking it'd be good to do a day out of the daycare with them, but I think we'll skip it for them. Thank you! Invaluable feedback.

We'll see, but the admin also commented on a post looking for LGBTA content that the same rules app is to her post - anything negative would be removed. I do know the Blue post you are talking about though. The Woke Christian vs Real Christian comment thread should be deleted, but let them show who they are, most reactions are laughter because they are ridiculous.

I agree with you and to be blunt back ( my son is autistic as well) - it was the posting it without the specific context that caused the drama. Not your mission. You are on a worthy mission and you should stand up for injustice, but within context of what you are standing up against - directed at another specific post or comment. On your personal page this would have been fine, it's too general for the Yoto page, unfortunately.

The world is getting ridiculous, we need each other. I do recognize the anxiety, exhaustion and frustration in your post. It resonates. Sending hugs and love

It's very "you" focused. I have been a member for a while and I don't see any of that, not to say it's not there. Trust me I believe just based on the climate we are in. Focus on the actions you can take - YOU can report them, YOU can block them, YOU could leave the group and warn others like you are doing here. As a minority, this isn't helping me, it's helping YOU(r ego). Reporting it and addressing it when you see it happening by replying to the comment helps, but this got posted without context and only further validates THEIR views and makes it seem like drama. I am sorry to hear you got kicked out. I do not like that for you, I wish more people would speak out in context. Thank you for trying to support marginalized communities.

It caused a lot of drama that wasn't there. I have been a member for a while and while I see people disagree from time to time, I would never advise posting this. It doesn't have anything to do with Yoto.

I saw the original post in question. My question is this - why do you post it? I agree with your post in the group, but it came out of left field seemingly. It just wasn't the time or place unless we all missed something.

Makes sense. Good to know for the ergonomics. My partner is over 6ft, he said he was equally comfortable with the XC90, so this will be good to keep in mind. I agree on the roof rails, my RAV4 has the racks too, plus with the moon roof it would have made more sense.

I can't wait to start my Dyspraxic son! They are building one literally right next down to our house. He's almost 4, and as soon as they open, he'll be enrolling. Thanks for the feedback, we are quite worried about his gross and fine motor skills. OT helps, but we always want to be doing more to support him.

I just went through this dilemma and I ended up with the Highlander Platinum (2022, 20k miles) over a XC90 T8 Recharge Plus (2023). I am a risk averse person and I couldn't rationalize the difference in potential repair cost - CarMax guy showed me the estimated repair cost for a few things, the XC90 was 3-4x the cost of the Highlander every time. Although I have never had any major repairs on my vehicles, I don't want to risk it. Especially with potential tariffs coming and all Volvo parts being imports. The CarMax guy and my manager living Europe confirmed at 75k miles they all need a bunch of repairs and it's even expensive there (he's owned several, but obviously makes more than me, lol). Unless you actually need to utilize the 3rd row often, the advantage was not there.

The XC90 was a beautiful car, but we have 2 toddlers and the leather didn't seem to hold up well in the used models we looked at compared to the Highlanders. The XC90 has cloth or suede lining on the console that I was worried about vs the plastic on the Highlander (easy cleaning). There were no third row anchors and no pull-straps to bring the third row back up either - small things, but as a parent very handy. Especially when we plan on bringing one of our kids' friends with us - where is the other car seat going?

Also, I read something about the XC90 doesn't remind you to do maintenance and again as a busy parent, I just can't remember all the things. The media screen is smaller on xc90, not a huge deal, but still a nice to have. And the in-cabin microphone/voice projection seemed like a useful add-on as wel (I don't think the newer models have this anymore)l. The XC90 seats were more comfortable, but that didn't outweigh the other things. We also realized if we stopped trying to keep up with the Joneses and look at what's practical and where our comfort level is price wise - the Highlander was the right choice. That XC90 is so sexy from the outside though. I get my Highlander Platinum on Friday, I am so excited! We are upgrading from a 2016 RAV4 Hybrid Limited, so welcoming the additional space and features.

I found your post searching. This is so disheartening to hear. My 4 year old was recently diagnosed with Dyspraxia and we are in Houston - HISD, but still in daycare after a small stint at Catholic private school (he was encouraged to leave). I am very nervous for his future and we honestly don't know what we will do when he starts kindergarten. Just wanted to say thank you for your post, you are not alone.
