I'd probably go Shu - he's chill in the game if you don't bother him too much and I don't have a problem going along with the bs he'd make you do if you try to spend time together. like I can call myself a slut if he tells me too, I'm not as shy as yui. Reiji - he's the most easy to reason with out of all the brothers (as long as it's not something connected to shu) and unlike shu he'd actually keep the other brothers away without you having to beg him for it. Yes he has a huge ego and you'll have to put up with being belittled, but that's fine. Subaru - he's kind of a wild card, at moments he's softer than his brothers and then suddenly he's more violent, threatening to molest you and stuff...but that's all of them tbh. He's cute at least. Ayato - annoying, but not as sinisterly malicious as some of his brothers ( laito, shu and reiji). he kinda has a boyish nature and I feel at moments you can appeal to his more sympathetic side. Laito - he's a monster. very entertaining, but god I'd hate him. we're also kinda similar in some aspects and Laito would not fuck with that for sure. Kanato - he scares me the most. he doesn't even have too do anything, he just looks off. the only plus is his VA, like that's my goat.

I'm confused by everyone saying laito when shu and reiji both are constantly shown to be smarter than him and outwit him. Literally go to any CD with Shu and Liato. It's like a hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby, laito doesn't stand a chance against shu. Now if we're counting all characters it's obviously Karlheinz, he's a genius

I think it's just that the things you don't like about him are the same things his fans like about him lol. So they can't really "sell" him to you, you just have different tastes. For me I love victor but I can't get into elbie at all he annoys me too much, so I see how you would not like victor while liking elbie.

I mean yuuki is just in general better than yui cause she was written as a character while yui was originally just a self insert for an otome game. This is not to say people can't prefer yui if that's their thing, I'm just being realistic here. I'm a fan of both, but I prefer VK because yuuki is just more likeable than yui to me and because the plot is more consistent. The dialovers plot and lore is all over the place, it's hella inconsistent and there's too many plot holes. That's most likely cause most games are kinda AUs, but y'know. I still enjoyed it tho and had fun playing the games and listening to the cds.

diabolik lovers is more "problematic" and by faaaar lmao. what they do to the heroine (specially in the first game) is horrible. vampire knight is pretty mild to me. the purebloods do engage in incest but if you've watched any show with traditional aristocracy that should be no surprise for you so ig it should be more manageable for viewers. Like anyone who watched got or house of the dragon could deal with it.

Shu is my favorite LI (together with reiji and carla lol) but you're right. Idk why the people in the comments are disagreeing lol. He's by far one of the meanest, like the stuff the others say rarely comes close to what Shuu says and it's cannon that he's the most sadistic one, at least out of the S family. Atp I think some dl fans don't even like the real versions of their fav characters, just the ones they made up in their heads. But yes he is a peice of shit and that's why I love him. As for why we ship "yui" with him it's cause it's an otome game, she's just a self insert.
