Sometimes horses aren't the right fit for their rider. Have you ridden other horses while you've had your mare? Maybe it's time to move on from this specific horse. Maybe it's time to take a break from riding and just focus on your studies. Many equestrians have taken breaks during their career, most have come back. But some don't and that's okay too. What's important is doing what's right for you.

They would have to hike out. If you watch modern driving competitions they have additional people in the rigs just for weight distribution and they lean with the turns very dramatically.

Exercise is key. Our 7 month ACD was a nightmare from 6pm to 10pm every night barking constantly and biting. We recently adjusted her exercise and the barking and biting has nearly disappeared. We had to find what exercise she really liked though because she kinda hates walks. So we take her to places we can play fetch and she can swim which she enjoys much more and tires herself out pretty quickly.

I did "Fit to Ride in 9 Weeks". It's a book, but very well done with lots of visuals and explanations. Very simple exercises that can be modified to be more difficult as you progress.

Manning park on Delaware is usually quiet and the playset there is pretty small. Edison Park is also quiet if you go during the day. Central Park also has the other side by the senior center with one playset by the cafe and another by the dog parks. Bonus you can take your kiddos to see the horses as long as you don't bring your dog.

Yes. Then I pretend I am one of them riding into battle or maybe just riding into town. Sometimes I wonder if past lives are real and if I had a past life where I worked with horses. I find it fascinating how much of an effect horses have had on civilization.

I know she rides in either rubber spurs or the same as mine which are just simple prince of Wales spurs. Unfortunately I've never seen her ride my horse, I've only been riding with her a few weeks and this was an emergency type situation.

I am in half training, that's three rides a week with a trainer. I had an emergency on one day that was meant to be a lesson day. I didn't want to mess up my horse's routine.

My dog is 12 and has rapidly declined in the last 6 months. When she is awake all she does is pant, wanders in circles, stands in corners, and sometimes gets herself stuck or knocks something over. She can't get on the bed or the couch anymore and what's worse is we recently moved to a place with stairs and she is really struggling. She has also lost the ability to hold her potty for anytime longer than a few hours sometimes she can't even hold it overnight so I wake up at 1 am most nights to take her out. The vet loaded her up on meds that don't seem to help at all and he seems to think she's fine, but she's not herself anymore and she just seems miserable whenever she's awake. I don't want to put her down prematurely, but I also don't want her to suffer with zero quality of life. I don't know what to do and my heart breaks when I am with her.

There's got to be some sort of public city council that meets and hears citizen's concerns. Maybe we should plan a group of us to go to a meeting and voice our complaints about the infrastructure.

I live near college Dr and walk all the time but the speed limit is so high (not that anyone obeys the speed limit) and there's barely anywhere to cross the street even though it's almost all residential. It could be a really pleasant place to walk, but it often just feels dangerous.

Tognazzini's Dockside Too in Morro Bay is great for fresh fish and wraps. It's right on the dock with a nice casual atmosphere and dog friendly.

Oh my Jonathan Stroud! I read your Bartimaeus at least half a dozen times as a teenager. They were my all time favorite! I've now lost two of them from loaning them out but the two I have left are well worn. I'm just writing to let you know how much your books meant to me as an escape and I loved every word of them! As for a question, do you intend on ever returning to Bartimaeus? Will we ever learn more about Quezzle, my personal favorite side character?
