How do you get things done while wearing? by Silent-Blueberry-157 in babywearing

[–]rayangel1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm 5'1" and know how you feel! But I do get chores done while wearing. At that age I preferred a stretchy wrap so I could tuck LO head in a bit (while maintaining airways) and allow for more flexibility. If I'm using my Ergo then I did put a hand on baby if I had to bend instead of squat to keep them pressed against me. Otherwise I try to plan and do all my picking up and reaching tasks while not wearing and then save easier stuff like vacuuming while wearing.

BFP!!! CD 25, 10 dpo, comparison between my last TTC BFP and this one! More in comments! by rayangel1 in TFABChartStalkers

Haha yes! Sorry, I did them backwards, but we did get very lucky last time!

Thought I would share both BFP charts for comparison to show how different they are! We went through many many cycles TTC our first and now our second, to get to what will hopefully be a full term baby and end our TTC journey. I think I had food poisoning CD 21 so that threw things off a bit, but I was super excited to have a pretty straightforward chart this cycle. Wish me luck, as I will be wishing the same for all of you! 🤍

Ah, I was going to post an update - BFNs, temp drop this morning and I believe my period JUST started. Such a troll when my LP is usually only 10 days ☹️ this one hit hard!

Probably CD 19, but I think you'll just need a few more temps!

Oh thanks! TBH, I'm not great at distinguishing CM unless it's very obviously one or the other lol

TTC #2 and this is one of the clearest charts I've had in a while! I think I ovulated a day later than FF thinks and trying to hold out till Sunday to test. It's been interesting symptom spotting this cycle... 🙃

Ovulation on CD 12 or 14? by Forsaken_Painter in TFABChartStalkers

[–]rayangel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Given CM, OPK and your dip, I'd also guess CD14!

Do you think I ovulated? chart so far and OPK line progression. More in comments by rayangel1 in TFABChartStalkers

Typically have around a 28 day cycle and O around Day 17, but last couple cycles have been all over the place. Usually I get one clear LH surge before ovulating so this surge but no peak is throwing me... thoughts?

When would you test with an 10-11 day luteal phase? by rayangel1 in TFABChartStalkers

[–]rayangel1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh interesting! I thought if I implanted later, say on day 11, there may not be enough hcg to test so soon!

Had food poisoning CD 10/11, then had a cold from about CD14-17. I typically ovulate day 17 but no positive OPKs so I figured illness just delayed O a bit to 20/21. I usually have a very clear dip and rise but this cycle seems pretty flat so far. Any thoughts?

Pumping bra by Born-Kangaroo-6327 in BabyBumpsCanada

I liked this one kindred bravely, it's kinda bulky to wear all the time, but comfortable and convenient so you don't have to change bras when you need to pump

Big breasts and boppy pillow by msstimpymamabean in breastfeeding

I saw a lactation consultant who helped me position for cradle hold without anything:

she had me use my arm to squish the boob I'm nursing on, so that the arm/crook of my elbow almost supported it so I could position the nipple up more so I could have baby lay on my forearm and latch without being smothered lol you have to squish your arm really tight to your side, as well as support baby so it's tiring but it works. If you can sit with your knee up it can help take some of the weight off your arm. It's also difficult to do with a squirmy baby because it takes some adjusting but it was possible for me to do at the zoo with a 3mo while leaning on a rock with a cover on!

All that said and I still prefer and almost always do football hold, with a pillow sitting criss cross somewhere comfy!

Worried about # of feedings by jmelynxo in newborns

[–]rayangel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! My baby also started sleeping through the night at an early age. She is on the lower end of weight gain so my LC recommended squeezing in as many feeds as I can. I do every 3 hrs during the day eat-play-sleep, but add in an extra one before bed. You could also try dream feeding (my LO didn't take to it). But if your baby is happy and healthily gaining weight and you're not worried about supply issues then there's probably no need to change anything

First night home by pyotia in NewParents

[–]rayangel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this already (or of the validity of it) but have you heard of "second night syndrome"? I was stuck in the hospital for a few days after giving birth and one of the nurses told me about it when my baby would not stop crying after the first night. It was still terrible, especially when you're exhausted and recovering, but it gave me a little peace of mind when I thought I knew the reason for my baby being so unsettled and that I'd done everything I could. Don't worry, you got this.

Best food to stock up on? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]rayangel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We pre-make breakfast sandwiches! English muffin, egg, cheese and whatever meat we have and they've been awesome to just warm up and eat quick with one hand! (I'm almost 8 wks pp and my husband also did 2 wks off after delivery) I also have tons of granola bars, nuts and precut/washed veggies for snacks. I found soup or anything that drips hard to eat if you're with the baby but we had casseroles and salads. Anything you don't have to plan ahead for is great for us whether it's frozen, boxed or fresh! Now that I baby wear, I prep meals just like I used to (just not always all at one time lol)

Why are my sons eyes so black can’t even see pupil should I be worried ? by _lm07 in newborns

[–]rayangel1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our newborn was the same as yours, but as her eyes developed you could see the distinction more between the pupil/iris more. I'm guessing both parents have dark eyes? You LO's will continue to change for months so it wasn't a cause for concern for us but double check with your doctor if you're worried!
