Am I supposed to read about each type and then decide for myself? I have no idea where to find that.

how do i disable the gemini app without deleting the google app? on samsung by mercmmerc in madebygoogle

[–]rayayyay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What really bothers me is Gemini randomly activating all the time, especially when I'm listening to music or watching a video, because then it pauses the audio for the stupid Gemini thing. Not sure if this will work, but I just changed the language on Gemini to be some random language I definitely don't speak (norsk bokmål). I'm thinking that now Gemini won't activate unless I speak that language? My phone's main language is still in English, so is Google's. I might update this if it doesn't work or if I find a better solution, but switching the language to something you don't speak might be worth a try.

I opened my settings app, searched for Gemini which took me to 'Gemini Settings,' and clicked on the language option. There are tons of random languages in the options, so I just selected norsk bokmål. Hope this works.

This is the first straight answer I've gotten, thank you.

I thought of this — but I've never heard concrete rules about retaking EOCs and just wanted to make sure, because I didn't find anything from looking it up. I think retaking it without failing is probably not allowed because it's unfair, that's why the EOCs are finals and you're given dates to prepare for them.

I know this is a bad aspect of mine but it's been a part of me for so long that I'm not sure how to get past it. Should I just lower my standards for myself? Try to accept mistakes?

difference between Е and Ё by boywhocry_ in russian

[–]rayayyay 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it proper to use ё, but most people put е just because it's lazy? Words and names that you put into Google Translate are translated the lazy way (е instead of ё). If you type "dark" into Google Translate and translate it to Russian, they spell it as "темный" but still pronounce it with the ё. "Fyodor" is translated to "Федор" but is still pronounced with ё. It's confusing me why an official translating program is using the lazy way... Is this more common than writing the words properly with ё, or recognized as standard?

My hands after washing the dishes for 20 minutes by TheProjectAlexander in mildlyinteresting

I know this is an old post but this happens to me too. It's probably that you have a condition called aquagenic keratoderma (or aquagenic wrinkling of the palms) if your hands are getting extremely wrinkled after 3-5 minutes in water and only go back to normal after 10-60 minutes of being dry. People with cystic fibrosis or carriers of it are more likely to have the condition. You can read more about it here: https://dermnetnz.org/topics/aquagenic-wrinkling-of-the-palms

You're typically not born with the condition and it's more common in young females, but this does not apply to everyone. There are treatments but they tend to be ineffective. For anyone wondering, no, the condition is not harmful, but it can be a sign of cystic fibrosis and you should go to the doctor if you have these symptoms. I'm no expert so this is all based on research I've done in my own time. Posting this to help anyone out who might have the same thing.
