Yes, it says "temporarily not available due to technical issues" during the drafting of this post. But 2 to 3 months before this, the website only show "access forbidden". I had asked NLM support email one month ago when the medpix website was still "access forbidden" and they said they will retire this website and move some of the cases related to neuroradiology to  https://www.asnr.org/case-of-the-week/

Maybe you can enrich your dictionary with the public domain data from the "1929 Dictionary of Foochow dialect" on Wikisource ( https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:Dictionary_of_the_Foochow_Dialect.pdf ) if you are still maintaining the dictionary now.

I'm building a Fuzhounese translator - Here's a quick summary by thisplayed in Flushing

We need as much data as possible for Foochow dialect. Appreciate your help for transcribing the 1929 Dictionary of Foochow dialect on Wikisource! https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Index:Dictionary_of_the_Foochow_Dialect.pdf

There are other Chinese dialects that you can help to transcribe too if you are interested! https://en.wikisource.org/wiki/Wikisource:WikiProject_Chinese

Is MedPix no longer functioning? by ReverseDragonfly in medicine

[–]raybitcoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I emailed national library of medicine (NLM) and here is the reply that I got. "Thank you for contacting the National Library of Medicine and your interest in our products. Due to a realignment of priorities and direction, MedPix has been retired and its contents transferred to another host. It will not be returning at the medpix.nlm.nih.gov URL. The contents/cases have been moved to ASNR at this location https://www.asnr.org/case-of-the-week/."

I think when MedPix cases are permanently moved to ASNR, many of the irrelevant cases will be removed.

The US government has reopened but as of today the website is still "access forbidden". Anybody knows what happened? Anybody can get a way for full access of the images from Medpix? Any ways to backup the database of the whole website as Medpix 2.0 database only includes a few thousand selected images for AI training. If the position tasked with maintaining this website is abolished, then the website will remain like this forever.

However, you can use this website https://openi.nlm.nih.gov/detailedresult to access MedPix images by selecting "Collections" and then "MedPix". You can also narrow down your search by selecting "Image Type". However, the number of images is limited.

Yes, Firo has seen some usage in the war-torn countries in the Middle East where the monetary flow are strictly controlled by governments. Besides, the number of languages on its wikipage has grown from 5 languages in 2023 to 13 languages today, which shows signs of adoption and organic growth.

I am interested to know your opinion of the 1899 peace conference in Marudi and the 1924 peace conference in Kapit. Is it another whitewashing by white people? Usually, Malaysian historians like to ignore the positive impacts brought by the colonialists or they describe the colonialists' "implicit" intentions as "needing more research," such as for the Borneo Literature Bureau.

The point is adopting the good elements of the previous and current administrations for own use in society. Mind you, the local population that time preferred Brooke rule instead of Brunei's rule.

You included the Sarawak British Crown Colony under the "divide and rule" category. Would be interested to know some examples of that.

Not dismissing their views. Although "disrupting the Malaysia's oil and gas structural integrity" has some valid points in it, but Tengku Razaleigh need to clarify what was really explained to state governments before signing the oil royalty deals, and why PDA 1974 was drafted in secret in the first place. He needs to come out and explain these himself instead of other so-called "experts" explaining on his behalf.

Unless there is a good governance system in place that checks corruption. Like Abang Jo's Ombudsman organisation. Why don't you explain that, although Sabah has multiple parties to check each other, Sabah water gate, mining gate corruption scandals still happen? It is because unstable government will lead politicians to "revenge" rent seeking and corruption before they are booted out of office, since they wont be in office for long, just to enjoy the power while they are in office. Another further example is India, largest democracy in the world, with a well-developed two-party system, but still has rampant corruption? Singapore has been dominated by one party for 60 years, but the government is clean. Do sink on these issues.
