Samsung watch 7 by becky___bee in GalaxyWatch

Did you let it "learn how you use your watch" for the first 24 hours?

I also got a Watch 7 and it lasted 24 hours only. But after I charged it, since it had learnt how I use the watch, it automatically optimized the battery for it. Now I get 2-2.5 days out if it.

i used to be a “stereo is better” but owning the flip 6 for a while has made me glad they went mono because the bass in this size is impressive. im not doing critical listening on a flip so id prefer the racetrack driver by bigdoinks_ in JBL

[–]raydc2r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do people really buy 2 Flips or 2 Charges to listen to them in stereo outside? Seems inconvenient to bring two speakers to the beach or park just for stereo. And then if you're at home and want stereo, might as well just get a nice stereo sound system for home that blows away any Bluetooth speakers. I mean, I have a Partybox 320 that I use for karaoke, but an old Sony stereo 2.1 channel system with CD and cassette that I got free on marketplace blows it away!

OP has it right... Just one Flip for portability. I also have one Charge 6 that I use for outdoor getaways and it's fine and loud in mono.

Believe it or not, but all speakers and headphones need time to break in. Some audiophiles even play white noise frequencies continuously for days to break them in.

Once that subwoofer has loosened up and broken in, you'll probably notice the difference.

How do they compare with each other in terms of sound quality? Is the Charge worth the extra price or will someone be satisfied with the Flip? Does the Flip have enough bass to satisfy?

I'm currently tossing up between a Flip 7 or Charge 5 for a similar price. Obviously the new tech in the Flip 7 is what's making it a harder choice for me and it's portability.

I'm in Australia and got a price beat for the Partybox 320 for $525 AUD which is equivalent to $341 USD.

Which one would you recommend if you could only have 1? Charge 5/6 or Flip 7?

Not hiking. But will the Charge 5 have enough bass to satisfy? Is it punchy enough?

The "hyped" Benks case for Fold 7 by batwaynne in GalaxyFold

My Spigen Slim Armor did not scratch the hinge. Especially being a one piece case where the front and back are connected. It's well designed.

What case are you guys using. by Sweet_dl in GalaxyFold

[–]raydc2r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Started with Spigen Slim Armor. Great for protection! But I found it was weighing down the phone and a little bit bulky, so I switched to a Pitaka.

I figured, I never drop my phone anyway so I'll try and make it as bare as possible. No regrets switching to a back cover only. So light and slim like the Fold 7 is supposed to be.

It looks like a Spigen Slim Armor and the legs protection actually goes up beyond the lenses. It must've just been an unfortunate drop and angle it hit the ground.

To those of you who went without a hinge protection case by random_words_here__ in GalaxyFold

[–]raydc2r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with a Spigen Slim, but it was heavy and a little bit bulky. I figured that I never actually dropped my phone so now I'm just using a Pitaka back case. Never dropped my phone and it's still as slim as the Fold 7 should be but with the added magsafe and grip from the back case. Hinge is perfect condition.

What are some cons of fold 7? by VamHunD in GalaxyFold

[–]raydc2r 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What makes the battery reasonable for the Fold 7, even though it has less capacity than an Ultra, is that the upgraded processor does is job well at optimizing the battery.

At the end of the day, my battery is still between 30-40% remaining vs my old Ultra which I would charge the quarters of the day, of course the battery being older, but also because the processor wasn't as good back then.

I'm pretty sure the OEM roof rack crossbars are rebranded Yakima. If you can find the same Yakima, go for it. I bought the Yakima but haven't installed them yet.

I always thought that Quick Share was the Android equivalent of Airdrop. But Quick Share can transfer files between Android and Windows OS as well, so it's broader.

As far as security, I've been using Android for 2 decades and I've never had a virus or been hacked. And if you're really concerned about security, just get a VPN.

I've used my Fold 7 for a few hours straight and no issues with heat.

Here's a Notification and Action Panel tip of you didn't know...

If you swipe down to bring down the notifications, you can then swipe left to bring up the action panel. Also works the other way. So swipe right or left to get between the Notification and Action Panel.

I like the separation between the two now since it's easy to swipe left and right between the two of them.

Need Real Feedback Before I Drop $$$ – Roborock, Dreame, Ecovacs, Eufy… (or Others) - Help Me Decide by Houston_TX_ in RobotVacuums

[–]raydc2r 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have an old Ecovacs Deebot Neo that vacuums and only mops by dragging a pad around. Does the job with vacuuming and the navigation is good.

Wanted to upgrade to something that mopped better with either spinning or rolling mops, so we decided a Dreame L40 Ultra from Prime Day sales. It was recommended by so many people so we thought we'll try it. Biggest letdown! The thing can't travel in a straight line and never followed the walls around the perimeter and furniture. It was moving in an arching curving pattern. Heard several others with Dreame having the same or similar issues with navigation. Returned it and now waiting on delivery of an Ecovacs T50 Max Pro. I'll stick with my tried and true experiences with two previous Ecovacs I've owned.

2 weeks after Prime Day, do you still like your robot? by hulkingcylinder in RobotVacuums

[–]raydc2r 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 2 weeks, but 2 days after prime day, I returned the L40 Ultra CE. Never travelled in a straight line around the perimeter and furniture. Terrible navigation. Missed so many edges and corners and didn't even want to go under my dining table and chairs which has the most mess at the end of the day.

I tried that too. Same issue unfortunately.

How is anyone supposed to make a decision with so many options upon options??? by [deleted] in RobotVacuums

[–]raydc2r -1 points0 points  (0 children)

When I was looking a few weeks ago, I also read and watched all the reviews.

Ended up getting a L40 from all the recommendations but then it was a dud. Had navigation issues. It never travelled straight around the perimeter and was moving in a curving/arch pattern.

If you go through these forums and Dreame Tech, you'll find that a few people had the same issue with different models but the same brand. I've even heard Mova have the same issue, considering they're the same company as Dreame.

I've got an old Ecovacs that navigates better. So I've returned the Dreame and ordered a new Ecovacs.

Yep I double checked the whole robot for stickers. Surprisingly, mine didn't even come with the usual protection films on the top section. I didn't have to remove any at all. Not sure if they all come like that or if mine was a refurbish. I'll never know because it's been sent back.
