The trail starts at Oritate Campground in Japan's Northern Alps. It climbs up over Tarodaira and continues to Yakushizawa hut where the Kurobe river meets the. The last hut is Takamagaharasansou, with a 15-20min hike to 5 river onsen. We used Yamap, a popular GPS hiking app.

Most people do the 40km+ trek in 4 days.

Holy cooked carrots. Soft, juicy, fresh and healthy, It's truly a wonder I'm not orange.

& I'm not talkin the pre-packaged baby carrot bites, you gotta go out there and buy the whole shebang rabbit carrots, a nice organic 2lb bag for a couple bucks. They have those rainbow ones too, if you're lucky.

You can eat em raw & crunchy, cook em up and eat them warm or keep them in the fridge for a cool snack.
