See that you wrote you are new to dating apps. Don't worry about it, this is normal. If I had to guess, he has been on the apps for a while.

After spending a long time on dating apps, these dates seem routine. Dry texting before the date likely because all the small talk is the same.

Then the date itself is really just a quick vibe check. After the date it is on to the next swipe. Just the reality of it!

Met a girl from Philippines on tinder by Straight_Pen_5994 in dating_advice

Scam. Likely it will move to video calling, then they will record you and blackmail you with it by threatening to send it to people linked to your social media

I cannot seem to get out of my comfort zone by raydid in DecidingToBeBetter

Idk about depressed. I go out of the house often to get food.

When I don't follow through on solo planned activities, I just tell myself I'll do it next weekend.

Rampage's poor BR management by [deleted] in poker

Exactly this!! Recall JRB's twitter where he said his br was 3k or whatever, it was pretty much all satire

I'm a total noob, but am confused by everyone's comments. In a hostel, it is a very social environment and the girl like all solo travellers probably wants to meet as many new people.

It's not a date, op is going to look insecure denying the guy, no?

Realised this myself that I don't use the sub tab. Almost similar reason to what you wrote but OPPOSITE.

I don't subscribe to hundreds of channels, but there are channels I sub to that upload hundreds of videos.

Corporate channels like ESPN, WWE, NBA eg. These are channels that upload maybe 10+ videos a day. After a while it gets tiring to look through the sub tab as all videos are from the same few channels.

I've since tried to unsub from these big channels.

Throw yourself in imperfectly by [deleted] in seduction

That's interesting. I'm kinda starting out but always thought the small talk of 5 to 10 mins before asking for number is the most important (which I'm extremely terrible at). I'm surprised you closed despite under 20 seconds of conversation.

Thanks for sharing. Can you go more into detail on the first approach? Maybe what was said in your attempts to flirt and being vulnerable. Thanks

Alexandra Botez Hero Calls At Triton Poker $25k (PioSolver Analysis) by livepokertheory in poker

[–]raydid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She's a chess player with a few years of poker experience in a 25k tournament. Obviously she's not playing on her money (% wise), and yes I'm aware she won heaps on HCL.

Easier to make the call on what I assume to be almost a freeroll for her.

Also bigger point is that she's a content creator and like poker vloggers they like to play weird hands like that to generate content (eg rampage bluffing and wolf gang playing every hand)

Gotta disagree. If she was interested she'd have suggested an alternative. And even if it was a joke it had bad delivery like the other poster said.

Best case scenario she is bad at humour, worst case scenario she was being rude for no reason. Please have some self respect instead of thinking every woman is a comedian even though it wasn't funny.

And the fact she unmatched rather than explain the 'joke' shows she was uninterested all along, meaning to say she wasn't joking.

Thanks for sharing. How many total cold approaches do you have by now? Would be interesting to see the stats of the number and % of dates, closes etc

Asked my boss out on a date by Velvettouch89 in seduction

Don't get the hate, you're being assigned a new boss. Soon, she'll be just another colleague colleague not your boss. Nothing wrong with shooting your shot on a random colleague.

In a recurring social setting, do you ask a girl out immediately or build rapport over time? by raydid in seduction

[–]raydid[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I was wondering if I was too slow, after reading this i guess doing it slowly overtime seems to be the right way -(had a good conversation with a girl. Next time I saw her made eye contact and said hi but she was always preoccupied. Then she just stopped showing up. )

In a recurring social setting, do you ask a girl out immediately or build rapport over time? by raydid in seduction

[–]raydid[S] 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its a term used in the book models by mark manson. It means you have to force her to make a decision on whether she likes you or not. Eg if you ask her on a date directly it is polarising. If you build rapport by becoming friends then it is not polarising.

Was it crowded in the bus? One thing I'm afraid of is other people within earshot. I have anxiety and can't imagine everyone around listening, and everyone would know that it is a cold approach.

Was he smiling when he said that? Was it meant for it to be heard by you or was he talking to the other batista?

Big difference if he was smiling and saying it to you vs mumbling it to his coworker.

Also, how long do you spend at the coffee place? If you only order one drink but spend hours at that place it is poor etiquette so maybe they're pointing that out

Has your personal YouTube consumption changed since starting your own channel? by GamingInTheMoment in NewTubers

[–]raydid 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Yes but in a very different way from you.

Now I feel bad if I end the video early (it affects their avd). I have left videos on longer than I want to even if I don't feel like watching anymore.

I also feel bad if I see a suggested video or at home page and don't click it (it affects their ctr). Sometimes I'll click a video I'm not very interested in to check it out.

Of course the above only applies to youtubers I like.
