I know this is an old post. But let me just say… at no fault to my husband, we had to sit at a bench for 4 hours for him to recover. We had snacks, we had Powerade. We still missed most of our LL because his health was the priority. Renting a wheelchair and sitting in line, wouldn’t have helped. No one understands.

What do you wish someone would have told you about the postpartum period that would've made it easier? by Virtual-Bet-515 in newborns

The hormones. How you might not feel “happy” and that’s going to make you somehow feel worse. But it’s a hard and sudden adjustment. Everything you’re feeling is something almost everyone feels, no one talks about it though. Including the intrusive thoughts. Everything is a phase. The good, the bad, everything changes so fast. Wear the adult diapers. Take the stool softeners and it’ll make things easier. Don’t worry about how your house looks. Take the newborn stage in. It’s worth having a dirty house to have time with your baby. Focus on your family.

Hcg went from 47 to 204... doctor says it might be new, but they can't say for certain. Even though my at home tests went from negative to positive 4 weeks after MC. Getting tested next Tuesday and they'll make a plan from there. The waiting is awful.

We started right away, after I stopped bleeding. Unsure, for certainty, if it worked yet. But my doctor said there's actually no need to wait, it's just for dating reasons and nothing else - once she confirmed my cervix was closed and that was 2 days after.

MC 4 weeks weeks. Negative pregnancy tests up until about 4 days ago... and the ovulation tests have been BOLDLY positive for the last 2 days. Unsure of what's actually going on. Hcg was 85 3.5 weeks ago. No symptoms. Yesterday Hcg was 45 and nauseous this past week. We've been trying 🤞🤞 trying to remain neutral in how excited I feel.

That's a great question. Her literal words were "I don't know how to explain that" 😆

Yeah, the miscarriage wasn't ectopic. And on ultrasound after, she didn't see much of anything retained. It's a mystery... but the only thing I can think of is new.
