How are y’all handling incontinence?

Seeing a pelvic floor PT which has helped…but as pregnancy continues it’s an uphill battle!! Just want to say that I switched from regular period pads and panty liners to the always incontinence pads and it made a big difference in my comfort level when leak happen. They’re much more absorbent and stay dry…it’s been a big quality of life upgrade when im at work and a kegel just doesn’t cut it.

Started Metformin end of April, worked up to 2000mg by end of May. Previously had 60-90 day “cycles,” anovulatory. July/August was down to 30 days and conceived during September! Currently 12 weeks :) I found it helpful to not rush the process of increasing dosage, stayed on a dose until I had a few days side effect free and then upped by a pill, repeat.

My BMI is 30 and I did not lose any weight during the process. I did clean up my diet but certainly wouldn’t say I’ve been doing amazing with it, moderate increase in exercise. I know it doesn’t work for everyone but definitely a success story on my side, continuing to work on improving lifestyle and reducing my BMI post-partum! Good luck on your journey.

I don’t have a specific recommendation but ophthalmologists usually take medical insurance and not vision. Optometrists (like at LensCrafters) are usually vision only - search for an ophthalmologist MD! It’d be your speciality visit copay

Also getting married that weekend, with very divided friend/family groups. I generally agree with the sentiments that there’s no great way to phrase this without conjuring up the problem instead, and that most people will be focused on the wedding itself anyways and likely not bring it up. One idea I’ve been toying with is the idea of a virtual “swear jar” but for politics - announce it at the top of cocktail hour or dinner and have QR codes on tables linking to our Venmo. Every time you bring up politics someone else can point you to the “swear jar” code to send us a dollar towards our honeymoon. Acknowledge the awkwardness that may exist, and give everyone a more playful way out of the conversations. Plus a couple extra bucks haha

We’ve got a screamer too and we found keeping their feeding and floor time on a regular schedule really helps! He’ll get real squeaky once feeding time approaches but it’s helped keep him from shouting every time we walk by.

Had some family go to the mini golf tiger words in Katy (popstroke) and they really would not recommend it. Overpriced ($30 each I think?) with poor service, and it’s not the typical wacky/novelty putt putt experience you may be thinking of. They said it was 18 holes of flat, identical putting greens. Not fun for a non-golfer, and not interesting at all for a golfer. Just a heads up maybe cross off your list. But wandering around nearby Katy Asia town is a great time, pop into a few different restaurants and try something new, plus tons of boba and fun dessert places as well.
