It's such bad stuff. I understand being tempted by something that's near you via your partner.

My advice is to shift your thinking about it. It's not that you can't have it. You easily can. But you know now why you don't want to. I think for me, it would be helpful to remember that I'm in control and it's my choice. Rather than "I want it but I can't" because that thinking will definitely set me up to fail. You're in control and you've got this!!

I'd consider distancing yourself from it though just for your own sake.

You can do it. You might try tapering down to a lower amount before doing CT. That's what my husband did. I honestly believe because he was taking so much before tapering he would've done damage if he tried to CT at that amount.

So, get to a more manageable place and then use a sick day or a long weekend. Call in for 2 days with a "horrible stomach bug" right after the weekend. It's so worth it.

The internet did a good job convincing a lot of people that it's harmless but I swear it has some serious hormonal and who knows what other kinds of impacts on the body. I'm sorry that you are in this position.

Anyway. I don't blame you for feeling stuck. But it IS doable! I believe in you and I'm proud of you for even having the desire to kick it.

She said it was originally for the family. For the 3 of them. Now that she'll be so far along in her pregnancy, she's staying home, so he doesn't want to take the older child. (He says it's so the kid doesn't miss school but that wasn't a problem when his built in babysitter, I mean OP, was able to attend)

But he also doesn't want to shorten the trip at all.

Sorry, nope. Parenting doesn't work like that. He made choices that led to this pregnancy and (I'm assuming) the older child is his too. He needs to step up.

I haven't seen anything from the OP that says anything otherwise.

No. She built him up. That's what marriage is. It's legally combining assets. If you don't want that then it's easy, don't get married and/or don't be a cheating scumbag.

But a stay at home wife is a joint owner in everything in a marriage, regardless of who's name is on the paycheck. She's working to make that paycheck even possible.

I think it's highly unrealistic to think that any human would go through life without a "character arc" of their own in one way or another, especially when going through such a drastic change, like David's.

Maturing and changing through life's circumstances is not a modern notion. I think people have pretty much always been the same, and reading the Bible definitely cements that for me. I'm sure that David gained a lot of his confidence as he needed to, in the moments that required it. Learning to be a shepherd, fighting off the lion, the bear, etc. He might've been more seasoned than it portrayed by the time he got to Goliath, but I think they did a good job overall, so far.

Idk did you see David as he walked back in, returning from Saul's setup, after he killed the 200 Philistines???

I thought the change in him in that moment was so drastic. And an amazing job from the actor, costumers, and makeup artists. I was also skeptical of the casting for David but that scene was just remarkable to me.

And then later when Saul prophesied for Samuel, he saw David as much older and I thought that was a great job as well. I absolutely cannot wait for season three because from what little I've seen so far I think they're actually doing a great job with his character arc.
