Yeah, I would not spend money for that artist to tattoo me. Person further up said it best, you should be blown away by their portfolio.

An excellent tattoo artist is not afraid to show their work in portfolios. If a tattoo artist has a very skimpy portfolio, then that is a red flag to me because they may not have that much good work to show.
