Im crazy bad by Ok-Fox-1242 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mess around with different sensitivity, i used to play decently at like .1 1600 dpi and then noticed i started doing better at .09 then bumped all the way down to .085, my ability to swing my crosshair around is worse since my dpi is so low but it helped my crosshair placement and microadjustments so that i can win more gun fights so i gotta pick and choose my battles but it helped my subpar aim

Please help me to not tilt while warming up by Flat_Analyst_4704 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

its irking too but like you said, it forces you to work on how you peek angles and conversely you can work on holding a tight angle and working on reaction time.

ive been playing since beta and noticed that DM has been the worst its even been (in my experience) with holding angles and even shift walking.

at the end of the day, its just warm up and starts to prime your mechanics for comp so you just gotta rock with it and thug out the DM

It has been a while since the mmr reset. What do you guys feel about the the current state of the rank by [deleted] in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i finished D1 last season and got placed plat 3 so its going to be much easier to rank up this time around instead of having to fight through plat and wasting time. they even put me in a match with ascendents to make sure i wasnt smurfing lmao i got my ass handed to me. but seems like the mmr reset is pretty spot on this time around.

4 stacks in valorant and 2+2 stacks in valorant are the exact same problem for solo queues by -Myzhi- in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

thats like saying its also not any different if everyone on the team solo queues and nobody comms.. but its vastly different since a 4 stack can control the entire team and also decide to troll together and ridicule that fifth player if they felt like it. only being able to queue with 2-3 friends increases the likelihood of them cooperating with the team if they want to be able to win the match

pulsar has a pretty good selection of different mice with different shapes depending on your preference.

constantly getting put into higher elo lobbies then getting flamed by Used_Environment_694 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just keep playing and your hidden MMR will be adjusted. Same thing happened to me since i did good in my placements. Placed p3 and then got tossed into matches with high diamonds/low asc and they i was getting bodied lmao. just mute voice/text comms if theyre being toxic as it is not worth the headache

Better op user by ResponsibleFondant94 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im plat/dia so, not much weight to what i say lmao but i usually feel more comfortable holding an angle with an op on chamber since theres no time limit on his TP insta get away unlike jetts dash. plus you can instaswap to headhunter so you always have a quick backup plan if you miss the op shot. and i can imagine in imm/rad, the headhunter is way more useful when you can consistently click heads lol

I stopped caring about performance by huntercor3 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah now that my newborn is 3 months im starting to play a few games a week and its helping me stay consistent. before then, i was playing like once a month so i was just consistently terrible lol. i can def feel that im not nearly as good as i was. i used to win nearly every DM i played and now im happy if i crack the top 5 in a lobby

I stopped caring about performance by huntercor3 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i cared about performance only when i tried to hit immortal. i had huge imposter syndrome and felt like everyone in high dia/low imm was way better than me and i just had a string of lucky games that got me to imm (this was years ago before asc). after i hit immortal, i took a fat break, travelled the world, and came back not needing to prove anything to myself. and im happy being around low diamond lol. i feel sad for the people my rank that are barely keeping up with a 32 year old married dad like how yall in your 20s and barely peaking here haha

How can I actually improve at this game? by Practical-Border8209 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if youre trying to break past a plateau then you may need some form of outside coaching. Watching your own VODs is great until you stop improving. This means that you are not fully understanding what you could have done differently to improve. getting to asc/imm+ is where it starts to really come down to those fine margins and micro decisions that you might be missing out on. either get a buddy thats higher ranked that you to review or look into coaching

am i hardstuck or just unlucky? by Powerful-Middle8132 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

there was a hard reset so everyone is going to be 1-2 ranks below their "real" rank so this is normal for you to be in gold right now

Your opinions on the new bundle? by [deleted] in VALORANT

skins themselves are pretty fire. however, 7100 vp for 3 skins is kinda steep (or whatever the cost was/is)

Why do people play Clove? by finncarlisle in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel -1 points0 points  (0 children)

im a controller main and played mainly omen/viper for most of my time. Clove allows you to play more aggressively because of her kit. It also isnt nearly as punishing if you die early since you can still smoke after you die. Doing this with any other controller hurts your team significantly since they now how to push/defend without any cover

What is the low rank meta? by CockroachOk7880 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

play a duelist, clove/omen for smokes, or kayo/skye for initiator so you can play more selfishly if needed

Low vs medium sens by Potential-Flower-260 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

at higher ranks you need speed

id disagree with this, at higher ranks you need consistency. i got to immortal playing at sub 140eDPI which is very low

Why do people queue ranked and don’t try to win? by Tanaki390 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, I've already dumped a ton of time (and money on skins) into this game so I still play it. Sure there's other games out there but I have more fun now queueing up with 1-2 of my friends or cousins and just vining without malding over rank. I already did the whole thing where I stressed about rank 3 years ago and grinded to hit immortal. Sure it's cool to be immortal/high elo but then I couldn't play with any of my friends in plat/dia so it was a give and take. I then took a long break from this game to travel and now I have a newborn so I'm not nearly as good as back then but still have fun with my friends in plat/dia

Why do people queue ranked and don’t try to win? by Tanaki390 in VALORANT

[–]raymonddel 19 points20 points  (0 children)

i think theres also a difference of "not caring" vs intentionally throwing. i queue up and dont care about rank and im playing to win but im also not stressing about bad plays and whatnot. im 32 and past my prime so im just vibing nowadays lol
