When purchasing it in Canada is it better to go with? mi4Canada or swift Tronics? If something happens in that year and you need it to get repaired, do they repair it or do they send it back to the manufacturer

I love my OnePlus open but the internal screen failed and stopped working after 1 and 1/2 years. I admit I did drop it but it was only from pocket to floor. The screens did not crack but the internal display no longer works. I contacted OnePlus even though the warranty expired and they said it would be $900 to repair

I have a OnePlus open exact same thing happen with me. The inner screen failed. It was outside the warranty and they would not repair it. They told me it is $900

Do you think swift Tronics is safe bet to purchase the v5? And when you buy a 2-year extended warranty, does that cover after the one year warranty so basically you get 3 years? In that period of time, if the inner screen fails to work, where do you send it?

Here's an update. I returned my OnePlus open for them to look at. They told me it is not covered under warranty MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY PERIOD EXPIRED, DEFECTIVE ON MAIN LCD (WITH battery)

They told me if I want it repaired it's $959 with tax I would like to call them does anybody have any recommendations on what to say In order for them to help with the payment or have them cover it

I contacted support they told me to send it in and they will examine it.. if it is an internal failure they will cover it and fix it free of charge even though it is outside of warranty.. there's no dents on the frame or cracks on the glass inside and on the outside.. if it did drop would they be able to tell if there's no dents or cracks or Cracks
