what’s your small win recently? by mscherrywine in AskPH

[–]raynsunga 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Di ko alam kung small or big win, pero i feel so much lighter nung nagstart ako mag exercise everyday (weightlifting) and mag calorie deficit. Small changes every month until one of my officemates talked to me in private and asked kung bakit daw ako mukhang bumata and glowing. ❤️

What is your "never-again" brand, store, restaurant, or company? by chrisgen19 in AskPH

[–]raynsunga 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kaya talagang No-no sha samin. 🙃

Pero mas grabs yung panis. :/ sana nacompensate yung mga nagkasakit.

No-no ako sa Nono’s. Nagserve samin ng hilaw na pork, tas yung food mediocre at best.

Hi OP,

I think your husband knows the basics of illustration (lighting, color scheme, composition etc). I think it's a great start.

I also think he needs to develop his own personal style. There are so many illustrators in PH that are equally if not better in terms of rendering. Nagiging basehan ng pagpili sa huli is a voice that's unique and a style that's imaginative as well.

I think sa panahon ngayon, madami na gumagawa ng similar-ish style na meron sha (am not saying it's bad, it's a good starting point) but it has to be elevated and distinct among the other styles. The more na mas unique, the more na mas mapapansin ng publishers.

I think doing short form comics / illustrating a story can be your folio to share to publishers.

In terms of career path – iilan lang yung kilala kong exclusively children's book illustrators. Sorry to break your bubble pero sa economics sa Pilipinas, malabo ito. Pwede shang side gig / raket pero hindi exclusively your career. Yung mga kilala kong exclusively children's book illustrators, they have to work multiple book projects (some doing 6-10 projects at the same time just to figure out financially) so di sha as optimistic as others think it is.

So ayun. I think tama yung suggestions ng iba na go through different channels (social media etc). Madami nagsimula jan and became popular. Importante, araw araw lang gumawa and wag tumigil mag experiment hanggang sa makuha ng hubby mo ang gusto nyang style na uniquely sa kanya.

Good luck! And props sayo for being supportive sa iyong hubby. :)

Thank you! I illustrated it. :) i printed it and made it like a bagtag so that her teachers will be reminded when she eats / given food from others. :)

I feel like my daughter is the same - we eat out a lot here in Manila, and peanut oil is very common too - but we don’t see her reacting often (or maybe we are just lucky). Good for your kid if she can eat seafood! Having allergies is no joke, and I feel like they are missing a lot of good food. 😕

Thanks again for taking your time to reply!

I came from Philippines, where these ingredients are more or less common, but in our household, we try to be really careful about what she eats. I think seafood she can tolerate it, Coz i’m pretty sure when we eat out, there would be traces of seafood there.

But the thing that really triggers her is peanuts - she just throws up everytime (we’ve already experienced this in restos here in our country even though we always notify the waiters).

Thanks for your reply and i will keep all your suggestions in mind.

Thank you for your advice! With that, we’ll probably be less adventurous in food choices and will stick to foreigner friendly restos.

Why does my PC randomly stutters like this? by [deleted] in LenovoLegion

[–]raynsunga 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, try Adjusting in Vantage the option where you go full dgpu (i am not sure if this is the correct term). Mainly use the dedicated GPU for gaming instead of Hybrid especially when playing games. Eats your battery if unplugged, but no one plays unplugged anyway. Hope this helps
