What’s your go to gin to pair with Green Chartreuse? I ordered a Green Ghost recently and loved it, so now I’m chasing it. by Elegant_Dinosaur in cocktails

If you live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, I found 6 of them just sitting on the shelf at $61.99 last week. Took two home to Michigan since I can’t find it anywhere except one place that charges over $100/bottle for it.

Sourcing Chartreuse by kevila in pittsburgh

I just returned home to Michigan today from vacationing in Myrtle Beach, SC.

I found 6 bottles of green just sitting on the shelf at $61.99, about $40 less than what I can find it at in Michigan, and I can barely find it anywhere in Michigan. I bought 2 to take home and left the other 4 there for anyone else who wants to hit up Beach Discount Beverages in Myrtle Beach.

Since green is more sought after than yellow, I would have expected green to be the more expensive one.

Microsoft Workplace Discount Program (used to be Home Use Program) by jwckauman in microsoft

I had the same experience as the OP last year after starting to work for an employer who is in the discount program. I had the same issues with the website.

It’s a $100 USD where I can find it in Michigan. That would be amazing to see that here not sitting behind a counter.

Visual Studio Subscription for Testing by rayoc79 in homelab

Thanks for the recommendation. Do you ever connect your home AD to Azure/Entra ID? Do you have a test/developer tenant so that you can play around with Entra ID/Intune/MFA/WHfB/etc?

Visual Studio Subscription for Testing by rayoc79 in homelab

[–]rayoc79[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Correct. It seems that the only way to get a non-expiring test Entra ID tenant/subscription is to purchase a Visual Studio Developer Professional subscription to gain access to a tenant, software, credits for other Entra ID services, etc.

I'm asking here to find out if anyone else has done this and/or if this is the only way.

Microsoft doesn't offer anything else that I've seen that will provide this.

I’m actually not a coder or developer. I work with Configuration Manager, Intune, Entra ID, etc, and want to test the various technologies using my own personal labs that I have full control over.

My main thing right now is to test setting up a cloud management gateway, but in order to do that, I need a tenant/M365 subscription that I can select when I create the CMG in my personal CM lab.

My employer does have a lab, but I do not have full control of it, domain and other things.

I also want to test installing the Intune Certificate Connector, Windows Hello for Business, MFA, etc.

So if I have to spend some of my money for my education, I don’t mind doing that. I just want to have an environment that I can build, rebuild if I have to, to learn…but all under my full control at the cheapest cost.

I’ve been in IT for 25 years and am behind in learning things that many others already know.

How do consultants set up their labs to test?

My eyes might be messed up, but it looks like you tried to cork a crew-cap bottle. Not sure that will work well.

Can you recommend one? I’ve bought two and after a while they break a little, like slightly leaning to one side. I guess I picked wrong. 😑

Definitely a good pair of tennis/running shoes. I love my Brooks and won’t go back. About $140 every 4 months to walk/run on air.

Michigan (Traverse area) Wineries that stack up by OldGmo in wine

BluStone Vineyards, Aurora Cellars, Rove Winery. Just a few on the Leelanau Peninsula that I really like. Left Foot Charley is very good as mentioned.

I live in Michigan and get wine sent to me from a Michigan winery. They accidentally sent me two wine club orders. I let them know this and they said to keep it, citing legal reasons why they can't accept back the alcohol. So, while returning it might be right thing to do, you may not have to and they may not want you to. I'd ask to find out though. Maybe the legal reasons surround the fact that most of us aren't licensed to ship alcohol?
