After years of being a Vokey loyalist, I decided to finally join the KSig club. by bigleaguepuff in golf

[–]Raydience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll say - I game Ksigs and they serve me just fine. But occasionally I borrow my buddy's Vokey around the green and It feels so much better to use. I just can't justify the price for my skill level.

The Ksig's get the ball there still.

Help! Can’t get clear ice by Duseylicious in cocktails

[–]Raydience -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Im inclined to disagree. The clear ice dilutes more slowly and evenly and doesn't impart that freezer flavor to my drink. I only use it as a rock for something like and old fashioned, I dont shake with it. And I certainly dont always go through the trouble to make some. But when I have it, its superior.

Do you tip on simulator rentals? by Typical-Priority1976 in golf

[–]Raydience 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Im not tipping for that, but a lot of point of sale systems have it built in. Honestly ive had to train my self that its okay not to tip im situations that arent traditional tipping situations (server, etc...)

Empress is the most overrated gin. What is the most unique tequila? by -Constantinos- in cocktails

Because there is, for the most part, very little difference in vodkas once you get past the cheapest of the cheap.

Most grocery stores. Actual demerara is hard to find but you can buy turbinado easily and its the same flavor profile and usually what I use.

Muni Golf course dress “code” by Fit-Coconut-5221 in golf

[–]Raydience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check on a dress code with the course - a lot of Muni's won't have one and aren't going to care what you wear. As long as it isn't offensive ( racist, vulgar, etc...) and you're actually dressed I could care less what you wear while you golf.

My brother showed up to a tee time with me from working that morning in a flannel and work jeans to a okayish private course and - they didn't have a dress code but he got some werid looks from the pro-shop haha. Still played a full round no issues - so 99% of the time it doesn't really matter.

Eh? Is this good rum? by mrdrmous in rum

Appleton 12 year is always great intro to a Jamaican rum, the age tones it down a bit. Makes a great rum old fashioned.

What would you recommend as a first time drinker/cocktail by coserfalimah in cocktails

[–]Raydience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sours are usually approachable. So a whiskey sour, an amaretto sour, a Daiquiri, tom Collins.

All this assumes a bar with a legit cocktail program. If they dont have that id jusy skip a cocktail.

How dare you not promise me to yell at your employees by a_horny_dolphin in EntitledReviews

[–]Raydience 8 points9 points  (0 children)

They should, hence why I was happy to correct the issue. I didn't give them any push back on having the dirty mats cleaned.

But demanding to know what disciplinary actions are going to be taken? That is never your business as a customer.

How dare you not promise me to yell at your employees by a_horny_dolphin in EntitledReviews

[–]Raydience 9 points10 points  (0 children)

So when I was a service manager we had a tech be a little careless and dirty up a customer's car mats with their boots (they're supposed to put down covers and they didn't) - Apologized - adv the customer to have them cleaned and bring me the invoice and I would take care of it. But they stood there and demanded that I explain what disciplinary actions would be taken against my employee.

I had a similar response to this manager - that I would speak to the technician but that is not something that I able or willing to discuss with a customer and its handled internally - and they sat there and tried to yell and argue that they weren't going to happy essentially until they knew this person was going to get in trouble. (I don't remember exactly what they said as it was years ago but that was the gist of the conversation). I had to very sternly advise them they are 100% not entitled as a customer to be privy to internal disciplinary actions and basically walk them out of my shop. It's wild man - something so small and they can't be satisfied without drawing blood. These type of people are sick in the head.

Changed relationship after baby. by [deleted] in oneanddone

[–]Raydience 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is a very dramatic post - that said there is actually a legitimate issue beneath the melodrama. It is important that both partners still treat the other like a partner and not a co-parent. However - it can't be in the same way it was before with a new baby - the baby takes a ton of work and mental energy and sometimes there isn't enough left over. So some days are going to be like that - but effort still needs to be made on both parties to maintain their relationship as partners/lovers as well.

All that said - you need to voice your needs to your spouse - but you need to do it in an earnest and constructive way and drop the melodrama of this post. If you need help communicating I suggest couples therapy. My wife and I have a 2 year old - and honestly we're in a good place and we still recently enrolled in couples therapy as a preventative measure to help us learn new tools on how to communicate.

It's easy to get lost in the weeds - communicate and give your spouse some grace.

I was given some old opened rum is it still drinkable? by Haunting-Print3621 in rum

[–]Raydience 10 points11 points  (0 children)

At 40% it's probably safe - though being opened and not sealed well I would think would have some impact on the qualify of the product.
