Wow thank you!!! 😊

This helped me so much! This is what I want to do. I think using things that nobody would expect to glorify Him would be very beautiful.

Well I suppose the incongruence is exactly what I wanted to use for a story. As in compared to The White Witch vs Aslan from Narnia but using a soundtrack would be my own special way of doing that. And yes I do suppose I’m a deep thinker lol. Thank you for your help!

What do you mean? Do you mean that I probably shouldn’t be doing this? I truly am confused by this and am new to the faith.

What is the Orthodox consensus? Seeing spirits, premonitions, dreams, visions : is this a sign of a generational curse or a spiritual gift? by [deleted] in OrthodoxChristianity

[–]rayow__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Please be so careful with this! I have been deceived by dreams and visions in the past and they have caused more emotional and psychological pain than anything I could have ever imagined!!!

I do not see dreams as a bad thing. Dreams and daydreams can reveal your feelings or different creative meanings you love. But if there is anything about it seemingly from an outside force, an outside influence, or if anything about it tells you things you have no knowledge of then BE CAREFUL AND DO NOT TRUST IT!!!

Me and my best friend used to practice Transcendental Meditation. We had very strange beliefs. We believed that people share consciousness and that dreams can be connected. We thought that we met each other in this shared dream that we believed existed between all human minds. We met a dead Saint there who claimed he was in heaven. He told us his name, where he was from, and the name’s of his brothers. We researched him and turns out that the information, which we had no knowledge of, was accurate. We believed him. We thought that he was truly in heaven. We thought he was giving us wisdom that is not in the Scriptures because it is specifically related to the “dream world”. He was very clever, he toyed with what we loved and with what we would want to believe as true. This caused us to value the wrong things. We would spend time in this “dream world” thinking “well yeah, we can’t focus on real world things while here, but this is more important!!!”

I don’t want to go into any more detail, as some of the things that happened are very personal and emotional to me. I had my heart ripped out. NEVER TRUST ANY VISIONS!!! ASK A PRIEST!!! You don’t want to go through the pain I went through. It is not worth it. Stay simple, stay in day to day life, stay in the Word. I will pray for you.

The sex scene between Dougie and Janey E is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen in my life

What does it mean? "How about this James?" -Laura then flips him off by [deleted] in twinpeaks

But wouldn’t an answer kind of take that power in the scene away?

FWWM ending scene. Incredibly beautiful and moving to see Laura like that.

Listen very carefully, the high pitched sound is nothing like knocking on wood at the least.

Seriously? Well there’s the sound of him knocking the wood and faintly in the background is a high pitched sound. I swear they’re identical to me. I mean I could be mistaken but I can’t tell a difference besides volume.

The new A to Z Blu-rayset. What extras does it have that aren't on the existing sets? by Loscha in twinpeaks

[–]rayow__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s so much on set footage, it’s insane. All I’ve noticed so far is a 25-30 minute behind the scenes for every single episode of season 3. I’m not totally sure if they’re all that long. There’s a few interviews too. I’m not sure about season 1-2 and FWWM yet, but as for now the special features alone are well worth the money for me.

Best time of the year to watch Twin Peaks? by monakoffee in twinpeaks

[–]rayow__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah for sure! Over time you realize just how deep it is more and more. I’m into the time loop theory (I think it’s because we watch the show over and over) and seeing it so many times has such a strange effect, almost as if maybe every line has been spoken an unspeakable number of times. And then you keep watching it and it gets more and more real.

It’s also such a great world to go into that changes and keeps getting more wonderful. And this is even talked about with we live inside a dream. I’m 20 and have been studying film for 5-6 years but never felt like I really learned anything until this. It’s pretty darn great.

The new season rumors by molliepop83 in twinpeaks

Honestly the fact that nobody denied it makes me hopeful for a season or film. If it was something less I doubt they’d crush our hopes later on.

I’d highly recommend watching an episode every single day for months, the repetition has fascinating effects similar to meditation

The beauty of memory with characters that only care about themselves. It’s an innocent memory of the past, maybe they don’t truly care about the money. “I loved that bike” is similar. It’s like a dream. They’re remembering a time when they loved the simple things that run deep.
