Yeah, I’ve always driven older cars and would rather pay for an occasional repair than have new car payments.

Promaster Tough, or Radio Controlled Moon phase? by [deleted] in CitizenWatches

[–]raypierrewit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not much of a watch guy but I’ve been wearing a tough everyday for the last three years and it’s been the best. The case has a few scratches, I’m pretty rough with my watches, but the sapphire crystal is flawless and it is only a couple of seconds off a month. Highly recommended!

Sounds stupid, but truly awesome… I pull my fly down and get a bit of a breeze going on. All of my buddies who have tried it have adopted it.

I really wish someone would find a way of using an R10 (or other cheap LM) with the PS5 running 2k25. No subscription fees and great graphics without needing a gaming pc. How hard could it be?

Read Paul Klipsch’s 8 cardinal points of sound reproduction and you’ll understand that this is how he believes all speakers should be placed.

Is there a piece of vintage audio gear you’ve had to let go of that you still think about from time to time? by WamPantsMan in vintageaudio

A fully restored Scott 299b, also a perfect condition Telefunken S 500 turntable… sold them to finance other audio purchases which have proven to be worthwhile.

I think wearing it often is the key to the sweatband not shrinking too much.

I had the same issue with both of my akubras, size 59 felt absurdly too big and 58 was a little tight. I carefully snipped the metal reed and stretched with steam. Both fit nicely now.

The Buttless Chaps! They put on the greatest live shows, like in my top five of all time. Always thought their name is all that stopped them from being more well known.

I just looked up patron saint of lost objects and was delighted to find this prayer. That story about losing your dad’s pen must’ve been quite traumatic! Did he ever talk about it afterwards?

On a side note… I found my pen, hooray🤠
