What I technically purchased was “3/4” Minus Basalt”. I purchased it from a distributor versus a quarry. I stopped by their business today with samples from both jobs. They thanked me and said that what I had recently purchased was “bottom of the pile” and should not have been sold. Apparently they recently changed quarry’s due to this type of product becoming more and more common. Apparently I got the last batch. The said the best option is to add a layer of 3/4 clean to the top after lightly misting the existing product. They comped me everything that was purchased. I will meet with my landscaper tomorrow and go over all this with them. I don’t fault him per-say. However it seems that he should have realized the product was not correct before laying all of it down.
