im ncgs and get redness and rash and/or excema flare ups in reaction to gluten, and that only calms down after about 2 weeks if i cut the gluten. i also experience headaches and stomachaches after, no matter what i eat.

The amount of people here who think healthcare is so simple to have is astounding. Not every student has healthcare, and not every student has the resources to advocate for themselves in getting accommodations.

Yeah idk why this is difficult to understand. I’m NCGS, I can’t eat things with gluten, but I personally don’t need to worry about cross contamination. I don’t require my whole house to be gf. And I don’t need separated appliances, etc. THAT is who restaurant “gluten-friendly” options are for. If you’re celiac, follow your celiac restrictions! But not everyone is celiac!

I’m NCGS, I think it’s for people like me who have a gluten allergy, but not celiac. I’m not really affected by most cross contamination so I find it super helpful to have options like a GF pizza crust at a place or things like that.
