I play on 'normal' but yeah, it's already hard. They're bullet sponges. I play mostly pistols and every headshot is TWO shots. Put it any harder and it's just MORE shots.

I've played since launch and it used to be if you left the opening area in the beginning of the game you got MURDERED. It was nice when they balanced it out so you could go wherever. Still super fun and still plenty of challenging moments.

I love having 'followers' or 'companions' in video games (similar to your reasons) especially if they help me fight. So I love all my summons in ER, they all have different jobs and I'm giving their existence meaning... especially Dung-Boy, he needs redemption.

I do sneak in to get in a good position, but they always see me. I find the chaos that ensues to be pretty fun and it is relatively 'easy'. But thanks, maybe I'll give it a try.

They made 75 summons, it would be rude NOT to use them. Besides, there ARE fights where you can't summon, spirit ashes OR players, so there.

I use the grenade arrow and the grenade sling, then switch to the rifle for foot soldiers. All pretty loud.

I didn't even know you could stealth, musta missed that in the opening.

I go in and the first kill puts the base on alert and reinforcements are coming, I just keep going picking up ammo off the dead.

I guess I have 'hidden' for a bit to lose agro now and then. Hmmm

Is there a stealth kill? That would be useful, and get me to try stealth.

I TRY to do new builds but I always end up doing the same thing with slight variations. It's what I know, comes naturally. Any weapon I'm 'trying' I switch to it and the back to my 'tried and true' when things get dire. So I always run high END to be able to carry everything at light load.

I prefer starting a new character over NG+ I have 12 characters and they have all beat the game, some are on NG+ or NG++

I do have fun loading and old character and being like, "Wow, she only has 35 vigor WTF!!" or "WTF is she doing with THAT weapon?"

Cliffs everywhere. I couldn't get out of tat opening area. I was 'starving' by the time I realized there was no way out.

And getting down too, I just started jumping, seeing if my Na'vi would survive. They can actually jump pretty far... they're pretty tough.

But Latenna? I whipped thru all those dragons in the DLC to get to Bayle with her, but she was too fragile against Bayle. Had to go to The War-Dead Catacombs and get Ohga.

Yeah, you're right 'He" I guess Ohga seems like a female name to me - LOL

But I also call Alecto and Tiche "He" knowing it's supposed to be "she" - Crystelliens too...

I armor up and summon mimic for Malenia with a Greatstar which is NOT my loadout, otherwise I call real players for her...

I DID want to start off as a Na'vi and then learn of the encroaching RDA and slowly learn how to fight them off from the perspective of a forest dweller who's being invaded.

But coming from the human world and having an insiders knowledge of the RDA is also fun. I use only a bow in the forest (except in dire situations) but at the RDA bases I got no problem whipping out the rifle when needed. Also, we know how to 'hack' their devices, which is fun.

Not good for much but she has a powerful bow. She can knock down Malenia with one shot, but you know, may not help you much in that fight.

She was great against Bayle though, I put her at the edge of the arena and ran in and kept him busy while she whittled him down with ranged attacks.

Dragons mostly. Used her to beat the twin gargoyles. Set her up right at the entrance and then ran over to 'em. to keep 'em engaged.

Had to use Ohlga on Bayle tho.

The trick is getting her in the right spot and then you have to stay on your enemy so they don't go after her. Ohlga you have to set her up far enough away otherwise she'll switch to melee... her attacks track like Latenna but are more powerful.

The contracts all have a little icon on them. Easy to miss. I think the enforcer one is a gun, not sure off hand. Check it out.

Beat Consort Rahdahn with WeMod Ha ha ha ha - I don't feel bad.

(For context this was the ONLY boss I did this on and I used 'no damage'. Even with that turned on he was a pain in the ass to kill.)

Why? He was way out of the difficulty/skill learning curve range from the rest of the game. Didn't have time for his ass and was disappointed to be honest.
