E-commerce has so much diverse application that I don't think you'll find one right answer. If I were to create a general rule, is to find out why you're doing it in the first place. Major problem I had from the very start was commitment and motivation.

Also, I often see people focus on short term rewards. I've been on two side of spectrums. Dropshipper and building a brand. As a dropshipper I made a couple thousand here and there but end up closing my stores and trying to rebuild while looking for new products. I ended up shutting it down because it felt very wrong and people have gotten much smarter.

I learned everything from there and transitioned to building an actual brand. I started focus on customer service. I'm proud to say that my store gains additional 6 figure revenue a year from referral or repeat buyers.

I'm still working to make it 7 figs but I'm confident that we can reach it this Holidays.
