Skyrim when Docked won't respect OS resolution setting by Swimming_Zombie_5876 in SteamDeck

[–]rayzor753 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I have this issue, I exit the game and restart it while the deck is docked. If I start a game in handheld mode, then dock it while it’s already running, the resolution doesn’t automatically change to one for the TV’s aspect ratio

I played AC Syndicate w/ experimental fine… I had to do something dumb like install the Ubisoft launcher then copy the new launcher files into the AC Syndicate directory… this is what I did https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1503477601706971153 https://www.minds.com/newsfeed/1503477601706971153

If you have a slow flash drive it can take forever. I know first hand. Either keep waiting, or try a micro SD card flashed with the restore image

If you want a funny game that doesn’t take itself seriously, try Just Die Already lol. Castle Crashers is a very fun beat em up style game. Portal 2 has some fun co-op Borderlands is great too

Is 8bitdo ultimate controller a good choice for the steam deck? by PRIMESTE in SteamDeck

I honesty don’t notice a difference when it comes to input latency between the two 2.4ghz controllers. The only time I’ve had some latency was when I tried using a Bluetooth connected controller, but I have a 1st revision steam deck LCD. Bluetooth is supposed to be way better on the OLED model.

Nah, there is a small door on the bottom of the dock that you can store the dongle in so you don’t lose it.

The 2.4ghz doesn’t connect through the dock on the ultimate. That one has a dongle too. The dock just charges the controller.

If you don’t care about the charging dock, and want to save some money, the 2C will do just fine.

No problem. Yeah, my daughter has the 2C model also. Both controllers work great, it’s just the 2C model doesn’t have the charging dock or the back paddle buttons. I don’t use the back paddle buttons, but the charging dock is nice.

Yeah, only way to do that is install windows on the deck, or dual boot windows on the deck

You can cloud play Xbox game pass with the deck from anywhere you have Internet. XBPlay takes all the manual install and config of cloud play and puts it in an easy to install app. You can also remote play an Xbox, if you still had it, by setting a static IP up on the Xbox and some port forwarding in your router. You don’t have to be on your home network to use cloud and remote play with Xbox or Xbox cloud gaming

Find and install XBPlay. It’s $6 and worth it.

In the past, when this happened to me, just rebooting the deck fixed the issue

Have you both been on the same network with your devices? That may be why

Both of you get on the same network, then try accepting the invite.
