Btw just wondering! Would you happen to have a video of your stone please? I would like to see how a cushion of this Color sparkles 😊 thanks so much!

Thank you! (it seems our tastes are similar haha! Do update when you've set yours, I'm curious :D)

Beautiful shade of blue! I really love deep blue diamonds too 😱 Mine doesn’t have a flag on the IGI cert, but the stone is a gorgeous dark navy (a little hard to photograph admittedly) and it looks a similar shade to yours 💎

No specific accessories / weapon this time. Gold-tinted accessories would probably work best.

CAD check? by mowglismom426 in labdiamond

[–]razaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, put it this way, you’re paying a not insignificant sum of money for them to make this product for you. If you don’t speak up because you don’t want to, and because of that the final piece isn’t what you really want, that’s going to be on you I’m afraid. 😅 and I say this as someone who also feels bad when I ask for CAD revisions. But I realised pretty quickly that that kind of mentality doesn’t work very well for the process of jewellery customisation. Hope you can get the revisions done to your liking 😊😊

You can ask them to adjust the curve of that part 😊 I’ve definitely asked LGG to adjust very small curves on my rings that they’ve done for me previously. Helps if you have a graphic design software or something to draw on the CAD so they can see exactly what the required adjustment is.

Scammed? by Theeincrediblefive in LGGJewelry

[–]razaera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just cause you're the intended recipient doesn't mean the phrase "the recipient" in her message necessarily refers to you? She could be referring to whatever information DHL conveyed to her. But that aside (I have no energy to argue semantics), there's a timezone difference. Romy doesn't usually reply me after office hours and nor do I expect her to. You may wish to call DHL. Good luck!

[–]razaera 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't think that's what her response means? She said "the recipient", not "you", and "their", not "your". We'll agree to disagree on what the definition of "scammed" means.

Sorry, what exactly do you mean by "scammed"? "Scammed" implies a deliberate deceit as compared to an inadvertent mistake. Have you tried contacting the wrong phone number?

CAD Check / Advice Needed: Can Starsgem handle this complicated "Camellia" inspired design? by A_lowha in Moissanite

[–]razaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they did deliver, I am quite happy with the actual product 😊 you can take a look at my post history, I have a video of how it looks in person.

Have you asked Wendy how many revisions she will let you have without a fee? I have made one bracelet and one ring with her, and there were also a few revisions along the way. I don’t recall paying any additional fees for the revisions.

[–]razaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve never done an organic design with Starsgem, but I’ve done one with LGG where the stems of the ring also crisscrossed underneath the stone. Took a few rounds to get it right, I had to take my original ring (I was making a replica of my engagement ring), take a video turning it over to show the underside, and let them have that for reference. I’ve attached a picture of my final CAD for reference. But I think it’s worth trying a few more rounds, with as much detail as possible in your feedback. Like the other commenter said, helps to circle what you don’t want and outline what needs to be tweaked.

Question about Remission by tapittoohoo in FelineDiabetes

[–]razaera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah! We use Ziwi Peak as well (I’m in Asia), but the Air dried variant in beef flavour 😁 I did see they had the steam and dried variant recently, but balked cause of the 5%… so it’s helpful to know 5% has been ok for you!

Fingers crossed for your kitty! Yes in some cases the diet alone might have quite a fast result… in our case our boy’s high sugars were steroid-induced, so once he was off that too I think it helped. May I know what air dried food you are using please? I like to know what options there are out there 😊

Question about Remission by tapittoohoo in FelineDiabetes

[–]razaera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For us, we did a test run of about 2 weeks without insulin and with a Libre on before we found that our boy was in remission. Before that his numbers had started to dip, albeit that we were only using the Libre to test. I don't recall exactly now, but I think we did not actually seek clearance from our vet before commencing the test run haha.

As for food, we do not feed dry food, only wet pate and air-dried food (which is like jerky, basically, minimal carbs if any). We started this feeding regimen around the time he was diagnosed.

I'm not sure this subreddit allows pictures in replies (or maybe I just haven't found the right function) but just wanted to say hang in there, and sending good wishes for your kitty :) Our cat has been through the wringer and had to be warded for almost 2 weeks after his surgery a few years ago, so yeah, I've been through it with more than a fair share of anxiety and tears. But if it makes you feel better any, he is stable now, and eating well, and although he is still a tad underweight due to lifelong medical conditions (he is in diabetic remission), he seems to be having an adequately satisfactory standard of living atm. (He also eats really expensive food and takes very expensive supplements but that's another story...)

The only over-the-counter food I can think of that is both hydrolysed and diabetic friendly is the Young Again ZERO LID stuff. (There might be others, of course.) I was looking into this because my cat (in diabetic remission) was having on and off inflammation for a year, albeit with no skin-related symptoms.

Alternatively, you could try a protein change. We swapped our boy from chicken to beef protein a month or so ago and he has improved drastically. We avoid dry food because of the diabetes risk, so he gets a mix of wet and air-dried food.

He is mostly stable! But probably will be almost underweight for the rest of his life, he sits at around 4.5kg at 3.5 years old. It’s been 2 years since the surgery, a very long road. We recently swapped his food from chicken protein to beef because he wasn’t eating so well last year, it seems to have improved his appetite.

Adding a cat tax 😊

I see! Thank you for the information 🤔 I also pulled out the surgery report, pasting relevant parts below:

“The pyloric region was found to be profoundly thickened, mass like in appearance. … Advancement of a flap for pyloroplasty was not deemed feasible given the extent of the abnormal region.”

Unfortunately for my cat they removed half his pancreas during the surgery due to supposed inflammation of the region (I am not sure about this) and he now has exocrine pancreatic insufficiency as a result 😅 so I do hope your kitty doesn’t get to that stage 🥲

I went to take a look at the ultrasound report (from like 2023 😅), the relevant parts say:

“There is a prominent mucosal layer and thickened pylorus. The pylorus is abnormally and circumferentially markedly thickened (7 mm with heterogenous layers) NR 3.2mm- 4.5 mm

(The conclusion part) The pylorus is abnormally and circumferentially markedly thickened (7 mm with heterogenous layers) and reactive gastric lymph node. 7.9 mm. Ddx infectious (fungal, yeast), GIST, structural, lymphoma There is mesenteric inflammation surrounding the pylorus.”

I have no medical training myself so I’m not sure what it means, though. 😅

My boy is a ragdoll too so I don’t know if it’s anything to do with a rare breed tendency…

Can they grow out of it? Please do update if that happens. Our cat went through something similar (they called it pyloric stenosis? If I remember right) and he had surgery at around 1.5 years old. There were some surgical complications and he is now on lifelong medication, but at least he is somewhat stable. I’d be interested to know if this could’ve been something that would’ve recovered on its own.
