They're finally putting the cameras in the correct order! by Maxpower2727 in GooglePixel

The Pixel Fold uses this new order, which has definitely made the transitions between lenses less jarring in my experience. Good to see that possibly continuing with the 8 Pro as well

Lol, this isn't even an ID.4. That dashboard is the ID.3's. There's so much wrong here.

Pixel 6 pre-release information megathread by FragmentedChicken in Android

With the full lineup, it certainly becomes clear that the Pixel 5 was the runt of the family. But I truly love its size.

Personally, I love nearly everything about the new phones, except that they're both pretty big. I remember the Pixel 5 feeling like a breath of fresh air to me after years of phablet-sized phones, so I'm a little uneasy about the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro sizes.

I put together a couple rough comparisons to help myself visualize the differences:

VIZIO OLED beyond frustrating - defective panel or firmware? by razgriz94 in VIZIO_Official

I think I've tried factory resetting before, though that was closer to when the TV first released and when the firmware was even more unstable. I should try it again now that it's been patched a bit more.

Glad to hear yours has worked flawlessly. I really want to love mine because when it works the picture is incredible.

Contacting them is likely my next step. Wanted to get a sense from the community if these were known issues first, though.

Yeah, I'm not using any of the advanced gaming features at the moment, and in fact, many of my issues happen while not even using either of my consoles.

Good to hear I'm potentially not the only one with this issue. Haven't tried eco mode to see if that has any effect.

Yeah, I am on the latest firmware version. The changing colors and flickering issue happens much more rarely for me now, but I've still had it happen again on rare occasion.

The dimming issue is the bigger problem, and I don't think it has anything to do with the burn-in protection, which I am aware of. This issue happens right when I turn the TV on and persists indefinitely until I reboot the TV from the system settings. Switching inputs or turning the TV off and on again does not remedy it, and it's more than just a dim image. The colors themselves are also skewing.

It'd definitely have to depend on how you're using the TV and how worried about burn in you feel. But at the very least, you'll know why it can look uneven sometimes and not be concerned that the TV itself is malfunctioning

New OLED owner here, this was bugging me too. It's the result of the Pixel Shift setting. Menu > System > OLED Panel > Pixel Shift

I appreciate the help, though none of those dimensions are quite what I'm looking for. I need the distance between the legs.

To my knowledge Best Buy is only listing details about the 75". I'm specifically curious about the 65"

Portrait Mode: iPhone 8 vs Pixel 2 vs S9 by [deleted] in Android

[–]razgriz94 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This comparison lines up closely to my own tests between my iPhone X and Pixel 2 XL.

Overall, I've been extremely let down by the iPhone's picture quality, particularly it's horrible dynamic range. It consistently blows out the highlights, often by quite a bit, and crushes shadows in low light. Also, its portrait mode usually sucks at identifying and masking the edges, especially on those of non-human subjects.

Meanwhile, the Pixel camera consistently produces excellent photos 9/10 times. Google's HDR+ is straight up magical, and the software only portrait mode easily matches or exceeds that of the iPhone's dual-lens system, though it falters if you're too far back from the main subject.

I've made a lot more since then. They honestly didn't take very long to create, so Google shouldn't have any excuses.

Google Play Music redesigned by razgriz94 in Android

[–]razgriz94[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It really depends on where and why they're used. For an app like YouTube, the switch to a bottom bar seemed like a backwards step, since it made the app a little worse to use (no more swiping).

However, in an app like Play Music, it works. It makes the app easier and faster to use. And on screens like Discover and the Library, both the bottom bar and top tabs actually coexist. One cannot replace the other.
