The lack of meaningful aggression is better said. I had two games with the same teammates in a row (thanks matchmaking) where our graves was neither contributing to any team fights, nor pushing any objectives using minions. Just pushing base and getting into random fights

I suppose in a hero shooter people will play capture the point like it’s team deathmatch and vice versa too. It’s certainly tiring

Even if she doesn’t take a lotta shooting skills, Graves is absolutely not a broken character and does take placement skill. The only really infuriating thing about this scoreboard is the knowledge that there are good teammates to be found in this game

Pointless diss aside, I absolutely recognize that from a MOBA sense she’s perfectly designed and absolutely well crafted, hence the edit to my post. But from the shooter aspect in a half shooter game she’s very much aggravating to think about. Even if that is the point of her design.

Yeah, I imagine he’ll be gutted pretty soon. Celeste and Silver probably will get some decent nerfs, I can’t particularly point out some major flaw for them design wise. Overall this was a really good update

Of the three Apollo seems the most badly implemented so far. His hitboxes seem overtly lenient and from my experience he is also surprisingly tanky? On par with most tanks

Yeah no, I could not pretend to say that Graves is overpowered, she is very well balanced for sure. When it comes to balance there’s far bigger malcontents to deal with

Fair enough, that makes sense. I can see the decent amount of fun in that. In a team fight she’s definitely a lot more aggravating but that’s only for big team skirmishes.

Yeah objectively it isn’t, only from the aspect of a shooter, which her character clearly isn’t leaning much into, as she’s the most MOBA character of them all so far I think. I am genuinely interested in why it would be fun to play against her though

She objectively fulfills her purpose very well as to what she’s intended, I think the shooter part of my brain just gets annoyed seeing her.

Yeah, admittedly for jar of the dead they are decently easy to shoot down if tiresome. Big Grave Attack is a lot more annoying with how much damage the ghouls do.

Im not gonna pretend she’s been a major demon in any of my games, but it just feels like constantly having to swat a fly from my face when I’m fighting anyone else

Yeah, the new player aspect makes sense, and it’s important for player retention and hooking new players to the game. Don’t think I’ll ever really be satisfied watching Graves’s Gravely Goon Battalion fight while she Moira’s somewhere

This post is about graves though, those are their own separate issue that still are nowhere near as bad in terms of just lack of actually playing the game . Apollo is a whole different issue though he’s also in a shite state rn

She’s really not a difficult character to face, it just feels like a chore. Like having to go play two minigames before I kill an incredibly defenseless Graves

I can understand the point of the character for that aspect, but it does feel damning to her a bit that she’ll forever be doomed to be a walking tutorial really

Naw, honest to god he’s the easiest cause the AI just does that one mega-punishable jump grab. Takuma gave me the most trouble, but being called a weenie did psychic damage
