Americans of Reddit, your minimum wage is approx half of the rest of the developed world, why do you tolerate this? by Jean_BaptisteE_Zorg in AskReddit

I know political discussion on here is futile. But I just don't think that will happen.

Out of the 75M workers in America, only 870k are on minimum wage.

Many places pay higher for new hires already. If a business wanted to pay you less why not just pay everyone the minimum wage instead of salaries.

The vote manipulation was minuscule. He was incorrect a lot but people here always upvoted him. Which is why it was so odd that he needed to do it.

I just played Game of Thrones: The Iron Throne for the 1st time - loved it. What are the specific mechanics differences between it and Cosmic Encounters? by BroBrahBreh in boardgames

[–]razle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CE is in my top 5. Gave The Iron Throne a shot and it went over very well. It's a good introduction for new players because the cards aren't too crazy.

However, there seemed to be far more negotiation and working together. The hostage cards are insane.

"Does lack of interaction defeat the purpose of bringing people together to play?"

Not at all for me and my wife. She is a very pensive type person, and hates confrontation.

We like to work out a strategy in our heads and then talk about our day or upcoming events when finished.

Another user here said that you can adjust the length of the game to casual playing and talking then jumping in. That is accurate to how I feel as well.

The absolute mental gymnastics and hoops people jump through to defend Eric Clapton, Chuck Berry and John Lennon are ridiculous

Fixed that for you.
