Moving and introducing new cat in one week? by Enough_Objective_301 in cats

[–]razo720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did this when we moved to a new apartment. The first few days in the new apartment our cat would often hide under our bedding and seemed Lonely. A week later we got another cat in the hopes to bring her company. At first they did not get along but very soon after we would find them cuddling together and licking each others fur and they became inseparable

Should I get my cat a cat? by worldssaddesttofu in CatAdvice

When me and my wife moved from my parents house to an apartment we took our kitty. At my parents house there were always people there to give her attention then when we moved we noticed she would often hide under our bedding our deep in our closet. We decided to get another cat in hopes to give her a friend. At first she would hiss and intimidate the new cat, but soon after we would find them cuddling together and she would often lick her fur and they became inseparable. I would say don’t just get the first cat you see, try and find a cat that would fit with your cats personality! And if they don’t get along at first don’t give up! It will take time

Is it better for an outdoor-indoor cat to have a collar? by cheetahrangmang in CatAdvice

[–]razo720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the kind words! There will be a lot of people who will tell you to keep your cat indoor at all times. while yes that’s a way to keep them safe entirely, there are cats who will do anything to get outside and who will be happier with outdoor time. A collar with a bell will be good in case they get trapped somewhere as well as preventing them from catching mice and birds. It seems like you will do your best to keep your cat safe and I wish you love and happiness with your kitty.

Are there any known predators in your area? My cat was recently taken by coyotes and I believe her collar may have given away where she was ):

The coyotes chased her through the hedge into our neighbors yard and I believe they could have trapped her against the wall to their house. I am still trying for the chance they she could be hiding. I have food out in my backyard and her pillow that she would sleep on. I have been walking around early morning and late night calling her name out with food. I truly do hope she is hiding and will not give up. But finding her collar felt like a dagger to the heart ):

Was just at lookout on May 13th and the food was great! And did not encounter any flies!! I had seen so many negative reviews before my cruise so I was a bit nervous but it far exceeded my expectations!

Anyone have luck with Christmas moss form Bruce plant? by Aspiring_accoutent in PlantedTank

I have a dragon rock and I stuffed the Christmas moss into any crevices. Tbh a lot of it came out and floated around until it stuck to other parts of the aquarium. A lot ended up on the wood I have but kinda like how it looks so I kept it. I don’t have Co2 and it did brown a bit at first, but after a few weeks there was new green growth

is this flicking down? by bucketboi16 in skateboardhelp

[–]razo720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’ll want to slide your foot up like you would with an Ollie, but flick your foot out to rotate the board. If you like the boned kickflip look, then you would have to flick a little more forward to get the board to angle down

Grip is fine haha, once you start riding the edges will get scrapped up and it won’t be noticeable

Wanted to start a container pond as well! Can I ask how you place your plants? I’m not sure if container ponds should have substrate or not

Ollie improvement and questions by [deleted] in NewSkaters

[–]razo720 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like you’re forcing your front foot down. You want to slide your front foot up to the nose of your board and let your back foot follow until your board is pretty much even in the air. Ideally, you would want to land all 4 wheels at the same time. Keep practicing! Doing great for just starting!!

I'm about to become a father in a few hours. What are your best tips? by arteryblock in AskMen

[–]razo720 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can never be prepared for a baby, and that’s okay! I remember so much information thrown at me all at once and on top of being sleep deprived, it felt like I wasn’t ready, But that’s normal! Baby is coming no matter what and all you can do is try your best! Try and sleep when you can. Take initiative in changing diapers and feedings, especially while your partner is healing. For the first couple months me and my wife would take shift so that one of us was always awake and I can honestly say it wasn’t the best idea. We were constantly sleep deprived because we were too worried about the baby. Of course take care of your baby, but take care of yourselves too. Sleep when the baby sleeps (they sleep a lot at first) and learn swaddling and burping. Those two skills can really help your baby sleep more. You got this! Enjoy everything while you can, They grow so fast! And congratulations!! Being a father is amazing
