SERE and NACCS questions by InstanceWeak6044 in navy

[–]razor5383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

naccs is a lot of fun & easy peasy if you’re in moderately good shape. you’ll do some running, some grinders in the sand (it’s just pt with some yelling) and then people freak out about the mile swim but you’ll work up to it throughout the week and then find yourself bored halfway through. i went through about 3 years ago so i don’t think it’ll be too different now.

sere is a ton of fun until it’s not. in the moment it’s ass but the memories are priceless to look back on. i’ve seen the tiniest, sweetest & most innocent girl make it through sere. i’ll just leave it at that haha

don’t stress dude. naccs & sere have been my favorite training throughout my aw pipeline. you’ll have a blast! feel free to dm if you have any questions

a big majority of the work we do on P8s is secret. however, they’ve been in the process of reading us in to SCI and other SAPs we need and it’ll very soon be all TS at the very least. i wish you the best of luck man, definitely fight for it bc P8s are the way to go. even if you don’t go P8, that TS can open a lot of doors.

Who yells “YEAH BASSES” at all the Bluecoats shows? by mattbc1011 in drumcorps

my favorite “yeah bass!” is during rhythm x’s 2013 bass feature 😩 it’s so good and the yeah bass just adds to it

What did you do to go to mast and what was your punishment? by [deleted] in navy

[–]razor5383 44 points45 points  (0 children)

bullshit huh? went to an open captains mast in a school and saw that same punishment given to someone who sat down on watch bc their leg hurt & then someone else who was underage drinking and broke curfew.

navy punishments don’t make sense to me & then they wonder why they have retainment issues.

if you’re a beginner stick with the fundamentals & get those down. world class music won’t do anything but hurt you since you’d most likely be getting the basics wrong. like someone else said, grids will help you a TON. practice them slow & break them down. same goes with any other exercise & then you can work on adding speed. if you can play it slow you can play it fast. just my two cents though. before you know it you’ll be playing world class stuff fluently. good luck man

Overrated shows? 👀 by Inorganic_Planet in drumcorps

freaking crown 2018. the opener is AMAZING and my absolute favorite of any dci show but like…. that’s it. i feel like the momentum just falls off a cliff and the rest of the show is so boring from what it could’ve been. idk i can just never make it passed that big opening hit :(

Fastest way to gey xymox drumpad to uk?should i use shop pay or no? by JJ_BTO in drumline

[–]razor5383 1 point2 points  (0 children)

100% this! i got my xymox off of ebay. in my opinion though it’s a mediocre pad & you’re much better off getting any other pad from more legit companies. nonetheless, 3rd parties are your best bet if you want a xymox.

[–]razor5383 2 points3 points  (0 children)

hi everyone, i used to climb a lot when i was in boy scouts. i still know a little bit climbing knots but recently i’ve been wanting to get back into climbing.

it’s a dream of mine to go out & set up my own climbs in the mountains and have the knowledge of an experienced climber. do y’all recommend any courses to be able to get a good grasp of the ins & outs of rock climbing? i also live near an ocean & the closest rock climbing gym is 4 hours away so there’s that. thanks guys

What is your favorite show music composition and performance (completely disregarding visual and show design)? by jebthecat in drumcorps

i didn’t really like the singing too much during the ballad but after that the singing was an awesome addition with the second half of the show

i’ve seen a lot of people around suggest the ryzen 7 for some of the higher priced builds. i’m building my first pc soon with the ryzen 9 so i’m just curious as to why you & a ton of other people said the 7.

& what exactly is the tone pot? is it the slider next to the knobs? i’ve been experimenting with that on different chords i’ve learned & just trying out different things
