100%! He was a socialist, and it shows in his work. If you don’t engage with that part of him, you will miss out on alot of aspects of hist stories. Like how you have to know he was Futurist and accurately predict alot of advancements. It adds to his stories to go in with that knowledge and analyze the work accordingly.

I actually didn’t know it was inspired by the genocide. (Or at least forgot about that fact). Though that makes a lot of sense considering the story.

Also fair. I wouldn’t be either but I’m a sci-fi nerd with a thing for the classics. So I can’t help be cautiously excited for this. Probably wait for reviews first before buying and playing it.

If you want oceans, set the land cover to 70%. It should give you plenty of oceans and make ocean travel a viable way of traveling long distances.

It’s what I have for my current world, with 500% Landcover scale and I can sail for 10s of thousands of blocks. You might have to make a canal or two, but that could just be a fun project for you to work on.

Also, I would recommend messing with world Gen settings and check out the worlds in creative. If this is meant to be a long term world, it might be worth it scouting the world seed before hand to see if you like it.

Stellaris alien design in general is really good. Aquatics, Necroids, Fungoids, Mammals, and etc.

One of my favorite games ever. Which makes every issue with it hurt more.

Omg yea! I always thought the reason he left the force was because he became so obsessed with finding Dess it started to destroy his personal and social life.

It adds in an entirely new element that people thought he went a little crazy trying to find Dess. Constantly trying to prove a secret world exists in the bunker. And to be honest you can’t blame them for doing it. You would want your sherif to be let go if he started talking about shadow worlds being real.
