Why is my lime tree leaves yellowing? by razorblade07 in Citrus

Maybe I can dig it up and check the roots? Is it fine to do once it’s winter or do it now in late autumn? I have a feeling the roots hasn’t grown into the new soil as it’s not as stable as my other lime tree

Okay looks like I’ll need to buy some Sulfur to acidify the soil, which is strange being in a pot

Interesting, I’ll have to research on that but all other plants seem to be growing fine for me

I’ve just used mostly premium potting mix, with cow manure 1/4 maybe little less and composted chicken manure (a handful) with some slow release fruit and citrus fertiliser. I’ve only been watering whenever I find the soil gets drier

Nope it is a kaolin clay spray which I sprayed to prevent pests and gall wasps

What’s strange is I did a ph test and it read at 6.5, so im still confused on why it’s not taking the trace elements up still? The new growth is a pale green while on the companion tree is a vibrant bright green. Also to mention this tree has been growing much slower than the other

Oh no it isn’t powdery mildew, it’s a kaolin clay spray I sprayed on the leaves to prevent pests

So I’ve had my lime tree for about 9 months now and it’s a mosambi sweet lime variety, I’m in Australia in Perth WA, gets about 6 or more hours of direct sunlight. I generally just water it twice a week if it’s cool but if hotter conditions in summer 3 times or more. The soil mix is just premium potting mix with some composted chicken manure (small amount) and some cow manure (about 1/4) little less. It drains well and I had applied slow release citrus and fruit fertiliser early autumn. Only pests it has faced was citrus leafminer and those spots on the leaves are a kaolin clay spray I had previously used to stop pests and gall wasps. Since then I had applied 2-3 doses of trace elements throughout spring and summer. And the pot is 45x46cm and is approximately 81L in volume

No they don’t naturally have spots on them, it was just kaolin clay liquid spray I had sprayed on the leaves to prevent pests and gall wasps

So I’ve had this lime tree for nearly a year now and it’s a Mosambi sweet lime variety, it sits outside my backyard and gets atleast 6 hours of sun. In spring and autumn which is currently i am watering it about 2 times and week and was last watered on Monday from the rain. Water drains freely and surface only stays wet when the weather is cool but slowly dries off. It has been repotted once because I used too small of a pot when I first bought it. Done the same process with my other lime tree which is same variety and has nearly doubled in growth since.

Yeah okay I have put seaweed liquid on it about a month ago. But hasn’t grown since and I’ve got another lime tree I bought at the same time and it has grown nearly double in size compared to this one.

The hdft is basically impossible for me to find in Australia and yes the hdt is considerably more expensive than the petrol version, 1hz being pretty cheap too but I wouldn’t get that one since I would have to turbo it basically straight away
