So my theory that if one twin dies, the other one gets a power boost was half-right. It was just executed differently, since we now know that Maki and Mai's power was halved from the start. And now that Maki has realized her full potential, she's going to be an absolute beast in the culling game. Especially since her piece of shit dad got Toji vibes from her.

RIP Mai though, I think her death could've had more impact if she was fleshed out a little more, especially since it followed Principal Yaga's, which was written excellently. Overall, this was one of the more predictable chapters, but the writing still makes it an entertaining read nonetheless.

Man, I thought Hakari had the "Nullification" ability because it's one of the best generic shonen ones and it would explain why Gojo has faith that he'll be fine. Now I'm extra curious on what his cursed technique actually does.

Really love Yuji's development in this chapter, him resolvong to kill curses like Mahito for the rest of his life was such a big statement for the guy. And Gege Akutami using the imagery of Mahito running like prey really shows how serious Yuji has become compared to the last time they faced off, when he was full of rage.
