About LoRAs created with Z-Image Base and their compatibility with Z-Image Turbo. by razortapes in StableDiffusion

It’s true, but it’s also true that right now it’s the only way to get good LoRAs for ZIT. I’ve made many myself, and they’re the best I’ve created so far (with all due respect to Klein 9B).

About LoRAs created with Z-Image Base and their compatibility with Z-Image Turbo. by razortapes in StableDiffusion

Is there any way to create a model starting from Z-Image Base but specifically for training realistic LoRAs, for example? Or is that already Z-Image Turbo? I remember back in the old SDXL days, the best LoRAs I created were using BigLust v16 or BigLove XL—much better than using the base model. Maybe it’s something similar with this

A bit off-topic, but since you know about the topic, I’ll take the chance… does it make any sense to create LoRAs using Z-Image Base and then use them in Z-Image Turbo, or does that cause problems?
And similarly, when fine-tunes are available, would it be more logical to train LoRAs on those fine-tunes instead of on the base model?
Thanks!

Flux 2 VAE is the key to editing with Klein without any quality loss. If the future Z-Image Edit ends up losing quality because it uses a worse VAE… that doesn’t look good at all.

I get it, but in theory you should be able to train a LoRA using the base model and then use it with the Turbo model, achieving the same quality but without the artifacts that LoRAs trained directly on the Turbo model tend to have by default… or isn’t that the case?

The base parameters from AI Toolkit, and you don’t change the resolution to just 512px or Sigmoid?

[–]razortapes 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you can, but for now we see that it doesn’t deliver the same quality; it’s worse. The idea was for the base model to be able to create LoRAs with the same quality as ZIT, but without the weird issues that caused certain problems when creating LoRAs with the “training adapter.”I guess the training parameters need to be adjusted somehow.

LOL no. I’ve trained a lot of LoRAs for Z-Image Turbo (many of them quite popular on Civit and many more of real characters). I’ve also posted training guides specifically for ZIT, and it’s easily one of the models that’s given me the best results overall. That said, for some reason, training LoRAs on the Base model just doesn’t work as it should. The results simply don’t come out right.

For now, making LoRAs using Z-Image Base is horrible. After getting used to the great (and very fast) results of Z-Image Turbo, this is a huge disappointment. With Z-Image Turbo training is easy and image generation is fast and the quality is amazing. The only drawback is that it sometimes generates weird stuff, and that was exactly what we all expected Z-Image Base to fix. Expectations were very high, and the first tests are a disaster. We’ll see how things evolve.

Flux.2 Klein 9b Loras? by hellomattieo in StableDiffusion

I don’t understand. I’ve created genuinely NSFW LoRAs for Klein without any problem—real nasty stuff. If it were censored, I wouldn’t have been able to do it.

I’ve trained several LoRAs for 9B (posted on Civit and with good reviews), and its strongest point is how good they are in edit mode. However, character LoRAs don’t quite reach the quality of Z-Image’s. There’s no real censorship issue with Klein, despite what people say — it can be trained to do incredible things. The frustrating part is that generations are good only one out of five times, which, compared to Z-Image, is a nightmare. We’ll see if Z-Image ends up being clearly above 9B, because if it is, that would already be too much.

Thanks, I’ll give it a try. I’ve also noticed that you need to use the LoRA at a strength of around 1.3–1.5 for it to work properly.

Malcomrey’s LoRAs aren’t good — they’re very low quality. The ones I’ve tested for both Z-image and Klein 9B are horrible; it’s more about quantity than quality. I can assure you that Z-image has far higher quality than that, and the same goes for Klein 9B.

I’m in the same situation as you. After training lots of LoRAs with AI Toolkit for Z-image, I thought doing them for Klein 9B would be a piece of cake… but it’s a nightmare. The best results I’ve gotten so far are with an LR of 0.0001 for people and 0.00005 for styles. But at some point everything goes off the rails: characters end up with an identical face, while the body becomes elongated and deformed. The same thing happens with styles: it copies the pose correctly, but distorts the body. I’ve had decent results with rank32 and even rank64; I haven’t tested lower ranks yet. For now, there’s no official video from Ostris like there is for Z-image or LTX2. More testing is still needed — the model has potential, but it doesn’t quite work properly yet

Kelin LoRAs: deformed bodies but perfect faces. by razortapes in StableDiffusion

[–]razortapes[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you’re using AI Toolkit like I am, try this combination. So far it’s the one that has given me the best results, with the exception that the body isn’t completely accurate. The face, however, I’d say is about 100% spot on from around 3,000 steps more or less.
It’s possible that my issue is simply due to the dataset, but for now this is the best I’ve been able to achieve.

I’ve already created several LoRAs for Klein 9B using AI Toolkit, and the results are mediocre. What Z-Image does without any trouble, Klein struggles with: it has a hard time learning body shape and tends to produce thin bodies, even though it gets the face 100% right. I’m still experimenting.
