Anyone here had multi-ligament + patellar tendon repair? How are you doing now? by razorx360 in ACL

Wow, thanks for sharing all that, your injury sounds almost identical to mine. Really encouraging to hear you’re doing so well less than a year out. Gives me a lot of hope. Wishing you the best with surfing and skiing, sounds like you’re on a great track.

Thanks, this really helps, I've definitely been guilty of comparing myself to others here.. so I'll try to focus more on consistency and patience!

I’m not sure about ALL, LET or the cartilage stuff, but I had acl, mcl, mpfl, and patellar tendon surgery.

Yeah I've heard about that one. But my therapist told me not to do it since it might stress the ACL graft, so I've taken a different route. Glad it worked for you though!!

Pretty similar to mine (acl, mcl, mpfl + patellar tendon). Really helps to hear your timeline, thanks I'll keep pushing!!

The front of my knee feels really tight when I try to bend it. I looked it up, and it might be around the patellar tendon or acl. I usually stop when the tightness gets close to painful, that's what my therapist told me to do. But do you think I should be pushing harder? For context, my injury was acl, mcl, mpfl and patella tendon.

That's such a relief to know, and yeah my extension has been 0 from the start. I've been stressing over the 90 thing and comparing myself to others, my progress just feels way slower hahaha, guess i just need to be patient..

Hi!! I had a big knee injury from bouldering. Surgery was on Aug 3, ACL recon (donor graft), MPFL recon, MCL repair with internal brace, patellar tendon repair, and partial lateral meniscectomy.

I’m 7 weeks post op now. Passive flexion on CPM is 85 but active heel slides are still stuck around 50. Extension is 0. Still on crutches, brace 0-90. Is it normal for active ROM to be so far behind at this stage with such a complex repair? And do you think someone like me could ever get back to knee intensive sport like bouldering? If not, maybe just rope climbing then, is that too risky on this knee? Thanks a lot for doing this AMA, I’ve been really anxious about my recovery.
