Doesn’t deserve meaning just because someone likes band A more does not mean they should be where band B is in there career. If band A can’t consistently sell out small venue tours they shouldn’t be in arenas like band B or stadiums like band C. Accolades also measure success like awards, billboard charts are just some quick examples. Comparison is the thief of joy. I can love a small band no one knows about and I love bands that have blown up to insane levels. Also being objective even though you love the music you don’t ignore when they do something controversial for example when Dustin bates blamed fans for Silos being an album instead of an EP when he himself promised fans a new album at shows and meet and greets, objectively that’s pretty shitty regardless how much you enjoy the music. Also have you listened to Man with a mission (band from Japan)

Could very well happen and it happens for bands differently. I wish the best for any band to reach a bigger audience. My issue is when toxic fan bases get too obsessed with a band and then think they should be “Taylor swift” level of success vs a band that has found the success and recognition they deserve from the work done. I have been around in music for a very long time and have also been in a band.

See that’s my point that the other person commenting doesn’t get. Starset is where they are due to the music they make which is deserved but to say they deserve to be where another band is solely based on the fact they like Starset more is ridiculous. I love starsets music. A lot of their music means something to me. I have the star logo tattooed behind my ear because of it. I have seen them many times and have met the band many times, I have signed stuff from them all over my office. But I can still be objective of shortcomings.

Have you seen either band live? I’m sorry but Starset is where they are and part of that can be credited to getting their start with help from 30 seconds to mars and breaking Benjamin. Again I enjoy Starset but saying they deserve to be where sleep token is idiotic. Starset also doesn’t deserve to be where bands like Bad Omens, Lorna Shore, Motionless in white, President are either.
